I think you'll do it operationpig. But....... you never know. You lot seem to have a habit of making things difficult for yourselves. All you have to fear is fear itself (which I think is the angle you were taking with us when you first came on here all those weeks ago).
Thats intersting OP, where are you going to put the away fans?? Also what will the adjusted attendence be??
The Wycombe fans have been relocated to the North West Corner if you know that section of Hillsboro' (between the away end to the left and the North Stand)
Could be 40k but it will depend on South Yorkshire Police how much they fear that there might be mass riots with 300 Wycombe.....if so could be 36k ish restricted.
Wish we had the luxury of ease....I'm sure you guys will live 10 years more then us!
Nice one, I was interested because we have another thread running about the possibility of moving away fans at the Valley so home fans can use the Jimmy Seed stand.
Not a bad side, awful at the back should have beaten them by more, beavon is the only clear threat they have.... SW should win easy considering what is at stake.
Offensively they were above average but defensively below - which is probably why they are getting relegated and they have a striker in the top 4 goalscorers in the Division. I would expect Wednesday to beat them but they shouldn't be taken lightly - offensively they have some decent players who caused us a few problems.
Wycombe aren't a bad side and are typical of many teams in L1 outside of the top few - if you underestimate them they'll hurt you. Turn up, compete and take the game seriously if so then SW should win.
Whilst a lot of the above is true it is all based on the way they played at The Valley when they still had a chance of staying up, they had to come at us as a draw was no good.
They have been relegated now, they will be thinking of thier holidays and will roll over with ease.
There will be two important factors - the first being the pressure on Wednesday and how they react to it and secondly how Wycombe approach the game. Will they see it as a chance to show what they are capable off and set them up for a quick return or will they just be a beaten side? What I do know, is that if I was going to pick a team to play, I'd want a defensively weak one so Wednesday are firmly in the box seat, especially if they set out with a high tempo and try to blow Wycombe away.
Can see the play offs being a big struggle for United - Saturday's draw was a mighty blow to them.
The only way I see SW failing is if Wycombe get an early goal and SW panic. To be fair, Wycombe are more capable of scoring than some of the lifeless teams in the lower half of the table, but I would expect SW to win with the same sort of ease as Southampton did on Saturday.
Interested to know, has Jones done anything noticably different with the team, tactics etc since he come in ?
He has made things very simple, let the players play with a bit of freedom, i.e Chris Lines now gets into the box and shoots, we are using the wingers much more and we are passing it on the deck more too, great changes imvho.
In his Interviews he seems very calm, doesn't lose his head or get involved with other comments/remarks, - Megson did.
As someone said, I think it'll be the same as the Saints beating Coventry - and if so, Sheff U will struggle against Stevenage in the Play Offs. With Evans gone, they haev lost their Talisman
my views on wycombe are they are already relegated but seem a decent team when they have the ball. sheffield wednesday could not of hoped for a better scenario than the one there in now. win against a relegated team at home and your promoted over your bitter rivals and can laugh at them sh1tting themselves in the play offs. if they don't go oop on saturday then something is seriously wrong, don't worry about wycombe, if wednesday play there football then i'm sure we'll meet again next year in the championship.
Owlstalk has gone into meltdown, the club have announced an extra 6,000 tickets are to go on sale in the morning, fans saying a crowd of 38,000 is expected
The way Jones has taken the same players that Megson had, and achieved such good results, says a lot for him. Not good for Megson's cv too :-)
Wednesday are on such a roll, I can't see them slipping up. Funnily, United are also playing a relegated team, but away, so that could be a harder match for them.
According to a mate of mine, who is a Wednesdayite, most of their fans felt some sympathy with Megson as a former player and fan and Mandaric probably lost a lot of goodwill at the time of the sacking - most Wednesday supporters conveniently forgetting, of couse, that the club was on the verge of administration when Mandaric took over and that no other investor would touch them with a bargepole. Megson apparently had a couple of falling outs before he got the boot - with Mandaric over O'Grady ( the big Summer signing at £300,00, who the chairman didn't rate ) and with Aldridge, the ex- West Ham CEO over the failure to sign Ben Marshall. There were also, unsurprisingly ( and quite rightly ), general concerns over Megson's style of "hoofball."
All forgotten now, of course, and no one can doubt that Mandaric made the right call. I haven't seen anything of Wednesday since our game up there in January but, according to my mate, they are now retaining possession much better and, in consequence, are not conceding so many late goals as a result of being knackered. Antonio ( who Megson tried earlier to get on loan post-Marshall ) has been their best player, although it may be that Reading will wish to retain him. Ditto the Wolves loanee, Batth.
In terms of Saturday, Wycombe will certainly give it a go but, given their defensive frailty and lack of pace at the back, Wednesday have to be big favourites. Young Ched's conviction certainly came at a bad time for the Blades, although but for the rape charge, I expect he'd have been sold in January. If they end up in the play offs and Stevenage hold onto 6th place, they sure won't be looking forward to the trip to Hertfordshire ( who in their right mind would ? ).

Not without skill and a very big heart but if you think he's gonna cut it in the Championship then it's gonna be fun to watch.
In fact can we send our first team to them to destroy the MASSIVE.
Our reserves can handle Hartlepool.
