A Belated Congratulations & A Question

  • Me and the Wednesday fan always support each other and have been to both SWFC & CAFC games. Love it every time & go mental when we score.
It's like the US astronauts and Soviet cosmonauts meeting up in space. Hope and reconciliation across the barricades.
  • a) United, all the Weds fans I met on our visit to H'boro were tossers.
    b) MK Dons.
    c) Sheff Utd, mid table.
  • a) United. Because I think they were deservedly on a roll and have been derailed by the rapist fiasco (great timing for you lot).
    b) Either Wednesday (if there), or MK Dons (if not).
    c) No clue m8. Depends on the close season and lots of other things.
  • Its 4am and I'm cold.

    CAFC
  • Hi TW. I was at uni in the mid 80s in Sheffield.

    a) United. Two reasons. When I lived there it was always a better place to watch a game. But mostly, we played you in our first season in the Premier League. We were relegated, deservedly. We played you last game of season. You gave it large all the way through that game.

    TTFN.
    1. United, did not mind you giving it large during the game, thats banter, but after the game you gloated at our relegation, never forgiver that. Years earlier your Chairman said on match of the day that charlton were the type of "little team" Wednesday did not want in the league they played in.
    2. Stevenage
    3. Stevenage relegated, Charlton and Wednesday mid table - subject to actiivty in transfer market, for Wednesday Llerra and Semedo not good enough
  • i shit sheffield clubs
  • i shit sheffield clubs
I'd have a Dr check your bowels out

  • Listening to Megson interview after he was sacked and saying where he feels Wednesdays natural position was hysterical and spelt out the exact kind of delusion that makes you lot so unattractive as a bunch of supporters... So to see you suffer and your delusion to take further blows has become pleasurable....

As for united the Ched Evans scenario muddies the water but I'd still rather see them go up ...

!. United for me, Wednesday fans that I know have been giving it the large all season long about how much of a bigger/better/massive club they are and how we have bought our way to the championship and it will never last etc. etc.
    2. Carlisle, A horrible ground to go to, think they'll give you a shock (as I think you will draw and United will win next week) and then they will stifle Rhodes to win at Wembley.
    3. We will finish 9th, United 13th and Carlisle 22nd

  • 1. Don't care but Wednesday will.
    2. MK
    3. Us and Wendy just top half with MK bottom six
  • 1. Wednesday
    2. Blades
    3. All mid table

It's so cringeworthy that their fans turn up early season when they are doing ok, disappear for most of the year when they aren't and return only when they pip their rivals. Why come on here and post? Most of us are gutted it's you as Sheff Utd have far more class, not only as a club but as fans and humans. Rant over.

    THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • 1. Wednesday, purely because of the Evans case and the fact I would not wish his goals to contribute to a promotion, also some of the reaction from Utd fans has been a complete disgrace.
    2. Stevenage for play offs - Utd will be gutted at missing out on autos, Huddrs been rubbish since the crazy sacking and MKDons just an average team.
    3. We will be top 6, stenegae bottom 6 and Weds no idea-assume you still have the 12M to spend we were all told you had in Jan so you should run away with it. ;-)

    .....

Why is that the fault of Sheffield United?

Bear in mind also some of our fans are awaiting a court appearance for racist singing and some of the songs were allegedly supportative of a convicted murderer.

  • Thanks for your kind words The Wednesday.

    1. Earlier in the season I definitely wanted United over Wednesday. Since we became Champions, I've decided that I don't really care - nothing else matters.
    2. Could be anyone but Huddersfield.
    3. My guess is that Charlton will just miss out on the play-offs by a place or two. Of the others, I think they'll be bottom half but safe.
  • 1. United - they've played the better football.
    2. It's about who's in form...
    3. Top third for Charlton and depends on the other two clubs, if SU and SW then I think they'll do well - top half, if it's say MKD, Notts County or Carlisle they'll struggle.
  • 1. United. After megson showing his class by calling our bench and Morrison c**ts all game at your rusty gaff and condidering he is 'one of you' + sheff u playing the better football + we haven't had united fans come on here giving it the biggun even though they've been the bigger threat to us for a long time

    2. Think stevenage will do it but hope not

    3. Currently we will hold our own in the champ but depend how we all strengthen
  • dont care but Dave Jones was a inspired appointment, he is a class Manager.

True, Sheff Utd threw it away, Wednesday didn't win it.

this is so true this is it in a nutshell

yeh i've never come on here and done that; you can see that from my posts. All I wondered at this stage was who Charlton fans wanted up with them, how they would do next year and why.

I think you will do well next year; the reason I say this is because Chris Powell has doen a hatchet job on your team, which I suppose is similar to Norwich and Southampton when they came down to L1 and now look at the success they are enjoying. Key thing you will have too is momentum, which cannot be underestimated.

As for us, it will depend on who DJ brings in but I have confidence in his ability to take us mid-table the first year up. I want Sheff Utd to win the playoffs as I like our Derby matches and think they deserve a bigger stage (what a bigheaded delusional cnut I am eh?)

It's funny and strange that you lot hold such resentment towards my club and its fans. Obviously excepting the dickhead trolls that every club has, I cannot understand the dislike.
  • Megson and his attitude for a start is one reason for me to dislike you lot. Fair enough your chairman saw sense and got rid of him but the way he acted that day compared to our manager just shows what a p***k he is.
  • Just go on owl talk and see how you fellow fans hold themselves... I used to really like sheff weds until this season ... Never realised that so many of you thought so highly of yourself and so poorly of others.... But this has been done to death ...

Long and short of it couldn't really care either way but seeing delusional fans getting hit with reality when they've acted like Pillocks has me thinking utd...

    1. United. Nothing to do with 98-99. The MASSIVE thing is only partly ironic, there are clearly some genuine believers out there. But though I enjoyed my day out at Hillsborough this year, it wasn't exactly a friendly place. And bunkum such as "Charlton won't win another game this season - FACT" and "Morrison couldn't handle the pressure of playing for us" (indeed, that's why he cracked when we last played you & won 1-0).

But i don't think Weds will blow it now, and fairplay to Jones, he's done brilliantly.

    2. MKD. Weds will bag 2nd now, and Utd look like they've blown it

    3. Mid-table. There's more quality than we perhaps realise

You seem a reasonable bloke but too often this season your fans have shown no respect and a complete lack of humility to every other club in the shit league that was division one. It seemed that you believed that Wednesday had some sort of divine right not to be exactly where you currently are plying your football. I really hope you stay down at least one more season in the hope that a reality check takes place and you show due respect to the clubs who are your equals. Having said that you will sadly be promoted and DJ is astute enough to spend the 12 million pounds you couldn't spend in January wisely enough for you to do well next season.

Why come on here and 'wonder' now? Is it because you want to squeeze some kind of praise and recognition from us? Why bother with us anyway, ask Leeds fans, or Bristol City or something.
You may have come on here because we won this league this year, despite many many stupid and thoughtless predictions from the trolls that you have, maybe you are seeking some kind of approval or absolution. Yes we have trolls too, but the OWLs seem to have many more than Sheffield United for example.
You have a big exciting week ahead, likely to go up now, spend your time on the Blades forum or in a big mutual masturbation fest with your fellow OWLs, Charlton are meaningless to you now, you have your own domestic feature to divert you.

  • 1. I wasn't bothered but post-Ched Evans I'd prefer to see Wednesdeh go up. Hillsborough's also my favourite ground in this country.
    2. MK Dons.
    3. Unsure... Just because we won the league doesn't mean that we'll finish highest of the promoted sides either. I'd take midtable.
  • Apparently it's not Leeds and Bristol City ... They are still considered underneath the level of the Massives ...
