If we go for him it wouldn't be a positive sign for next season. An excellent player who is sadly past his best.

Never seen an 18 year old before or since at Charlton have such an impact on the team like Bow did in his first full season with us in 95/96. Highlight for me was his goal at the Valley against the scum. Great Memories. Always had a lot of time for Lee.

And then reading the paper on the way to Liverpool I think in the cup about how George gram let him go as he felt he was too small as a kid to make it


Then Wilkinson when he signed him saying that we had played him far too often and if he was a horse he would've been burnt out in the knackers yard



Bowyer was by far the best young player I think we produced

Used to really like Bowyer, an exciting player full of spirit, and very talented.
Then the stories appeared, and his return to the valley, after a warm welcome from the crowd, was both upsetting and frankly immature.
I though he acted like a real idiot. He seemed hell bent on acting like a hard man, or what he thought passed as a hard man.
If the stories of his behaviour are correct, I would be amazed if this happened.

Yes Lee was terrific....but so were all of these I have mentioned as well as some by others...was Lee better than 'all' of these....some yes but not all I think.
