Just watched them again on CAFC Player. Wagstaff;s was sublime, Sale Stephen's effort was lightning fast even in slow motion, JJ's Free kicks against the Sheffields were amazing, Morrison as a centre back had no right to score a goal like he did agaist Stevenage but working on the belief that he meant it, I'm going to say that in a season of quality goals, we may just have saved the best till last.
Can anybody remember a season with the sheer volume of qulaity goals scored by Charlton?
The reason I don't think Yann will do it is that some people will think he didn't mean it. It is such a sublime goal you think 'he couldn't have meant that'. I'd like to get him on Jeremy Kyle and the lie detector, because I am sure that if I can prove he did mean it, it would be goal of the season in all Divisions.
For me, Goals of the Season, has to be Johnnie Jackson's goal at Sheff Utd / Sheff Weds Not just the quality of the strikes but the importance of the goals. The fact that there are x2 of them splits the JJ vote.
Do I really have to go onto Facebook to vote though, is there not another method ?
Yann was just trying to get the ball back into the danger area.Anybody who thought that he meant that is deluded. The same with the N'Guessan goal from the touchline,he was trying to cross the ball,it happens like that sometimes.I think the reason some of us thought that Yann meant that is because we like him so much.If Leon Clarke had done it we would definately say it was a fluke.

Bradley Wright-Phillips' goal vs Scunthorpe was a great team goal, but also a quality piece of technique from Bradley himself. Shame it's not on the list, as that would of been my choice.

I'm happy to be deluded ...he meant it :-)
You could tell by his reaction after scoring it that he did'nt mean it.I was right by him and had a good look at his facial expression.I would also claim that i meant it if i had scored a goal like that.
Yes but if you have any idea of the technique, control and finesse required to still manage to make contact on the ball let alone square it back across the box, something so typical of such a beautifully gifted footballer in Yann!
I guarantee you if someone had been on the end of that cross/shot to tap it in... it still would have been within those choices of goal of the season!Thats testimony to just how good that bit of skill and technique it was, whether he meant for it to go in or not!

Spot on Dick, winner should have been Stephens or Wagstaff, shame our goal of the season has been given to a fluke!
