Still not sure why anyone is underwelmed yet would be excited by someone like Ephraim coming in. Can't be much between them, and a lot of out wingers would have looked poor in the team Cook played in. As said many of them have gone on to prove themselves once they're used in the right way.
Jackson might recover and be fine for the rest of the season, but if he doesn't we have good cover. Playing someone out of position or throwing Harriott into some important games wouldn't have been ideal.
The only justification for this can be that Jackson is carrying injuries that will not clear up before the end of the season. I wish him all the best this time around and hope that he is older, wiser and a more mature player
I think he will be. He was only, what, 23, 24 last time around? Fully prepared to believe he can change in that time. You mention Jacko's injuries, they have come and gone wtih slightly worrying frequency for my liking, probably because he's so important he's come back before fully and totally fit (just my guess though.) Welcome back Lee, here's hoping for better luck/consistency this time.
One of those decisions that as fans we have to accept that the manager knows best, and is in the best position to judge the reason/reasons. Must admit Cook would not be my idea of a player I would want based on his past performances, but as others have said that was then.... Let's give the guy a chance......if and when he does play, and not jump on him, after the first missed placed pass.
I wasn't impressed previously but, as said, he was one of many dire, disinterested players at the time.
SCP may know him from Watford so perhaps he will be more motivated this time.
We need left sided cover in any event as I'm not convinced Evina is the answer and Harriott may not have progressed as he appears to be out of favour for whatever reason.
I think Ephraim showed some of his potential in the short time he was with us, he's young and I think he would have made a very valuable long-term addition, especially in the championship. Unfortunately I don't think it was down to CP as to whether he came back here on loan. I don't think he made any secret of the fact that he hopes to still make it into the QPR 1st team, and he's a QPR player. I wouldn't expect anything else. So welcome back Lee Cook and let's hope you can "do a job at this level" as we like to say when talking about League One.
SCP knows him from his time here , he had left Watford by the time our current Boss pitched up there. This was on the official website yeaterday
'I was a player the last time Lee was here, and it was admittedly a mixed time for him and for the club.
But that’s well in the past. What he is now is a left-sider and a natural left-footer who wants to deliver. He has got good quality and has got an eye for a goal as well.
I’m just trying to get the balance of our squad right. We’ve got Johnnie Jackson who has been outstanding for us on the left side, but he’s had one or two knocks.
We have to make sure we are okay in that area at this vital time for everyone.'
Well, I've decided I'm gonna boo him tonight along with that little c**t Solly, That lazy bas***d BWP & "no touch" Hollands. Useless bunch of idiots...............................
i will also be letting out alot of pent up aggression. directing it at evey supporter who dares!!....DARES!!!......to question Sir Chris Powell in any way.
Expected a lot of him when he signed last time, hope he feels as though he has something to prove. He seems like the sort of player who will do nothing all game and then come up with one match winning cross near the end.

Harriott has only just turned 18. Plenty of time for him to break through. He's had good competition just to get into the u18s team, but seems that's more to do with Sho-Silva, Azeez and Pigott playing well (and in turn all 3 winning pro deals) than Harriott not being rated.

I think that would be rather harsh, if you don't mind me saying so.

You forgot CP . Absolutely clueless manager. Fancy bringing in a left sided midfielder as cover for an injured left sided midfielder !! Bring back Parky ( in case you think i'm joking ).

right...where do you sit so i can verbally abuse you througout the game.
He deserves a clean slate, he wasn't fit when brought in from Fulham (had done his ACL in pre-season) Pardew blamed his signings on not getting promotion (cue boos at next game Cook plays against us).
The same Pardew that blamed the fans chanting for Deano on a 1-1 draw with West Brom.

I'll be in the East stand... you'll be able to hear me as i'll be the one moaning about the team only being 9 points clear at the top, and it not being good enough ( also as i'll be the only one talking ... )

I'll be loitering somewhere in the north upper Karim. Come and join me. I've got a sack full of rotton tomatoes at the ready. ;-)

better bring a catapult cos he's in the east stand.
Yeah does come across as though he's matured and appreciates being fit and playing games. I know it's always easy for new players to give easy on the ear interviews but they both come across well.

The last two signings are a little reminder that we are hardly the new Man City of league one.

Hopefully, no more square pegs in round holes, with players playing wrong sided.
Ah. The forgotten man of the playoff final.
