When Green is confident he looks to have bags of potential - maybe a player who doesn't react well to people getting on his back which won't stop some of ours doing so as this thread proves. I thought he was trying too hard on Tuesday and in some other games.

if we lost Solly, which I hope we don't, Wilson of Stevenage would be a good shout.
  • Bostwick is a good shout. Was also v impressed with Jonathan Douglas of Brentford at Valley and in his Swindon days
Douglas is not really a right winger though, more of a cm, and is 30. decent player, but a league 1 player

another ex player? I cant see Solly leaving tbh, dnt think prem teams would sign him until hes proven himself at champ level and he wont leave us to go to a champ team, cos we will be same division...

  • Drury and Martin of Ipswich if we could prise them away
  • Lappin from Norwich
  • Koren from Hull
  • Jackson from Norwich

Discussing Green's performances on here is completely different to getting on his back at the game.
  • Dicker from Brighton
  • Barnett from Peterborough

  • Johnson from Wolves (If he's sober !)

wilson was on our books .............
  • Messi !!!!!!!!!!!
  • Vardy. Wordsworth tho never noticed him. No need for RB, Keeper, as we have kids to come through. Can Bover step up as LM or creative force? Will we miss Vetere or were this years signings scouted by someone else? Like to see Azeez and Sho-Silva before we buy bench warmers. Austin is affordable and better than current form. Green not up to CCC but Waggy may be better at a higher level. Sam return?

Has someone got the ambulance on standby in anticipation of Nolly's seizure when he reads that?

    :-)
  • I'm not at all sure that the current squad will do well in the Championship--the thing we lack big time is pace, all over the pitch except at full back where Wiggins and Solly offer the only real threat out wide. Also we tend to use the long ball up to Kermo far too much and that wont work as well in the higher division. We need to recruit some new players with pace out wide and also players who can work the ball through midfield. Having said that our defence is brilliant and
    no changes needed there.

solly? quick? just about the only thing he hasn't got.

I would have said that earlier in the season too but I think he must have worked on his sprinting because he looks quicker now to me than he was.
  • Had a very bizarre dream last night that we signed Sylvan Ebanks Blake.
Odd but actually he would be a great signing for the Championship.

  • If I could put just one player into our team for the run in and next season, it would be a budding Roy Keane/Brian Robson etc. We badly need someone in the middle leading by example and keeping the team on the front foot with plenty of vocalising. Anyone got a wishbone handy ?
  • As soon as I read my post, I thought ' is Yann the man ' ?
  • I was quite impressed with Ryan Harley when he played against us last season and I understand he isn't that happy at Brighton he would be a good assett in The Championship I think. And also agree Sylvan Ebanks Blake would be awesome
  • a keeper who is 28-32 in age and commands his area.
  • Michael Bostwick from Stevenage without a doubt
  • hate to say but he is bloody awsome on FM12 as is wilson (our old right back) and there left back cant recall his name.
  • Bostwick would love a move to Charlton. There's been interest from PNE and Cardiff recently too, but if we come in for him he'd definitely sign.
  • Even though i rate Hamer, i reckon we should go for Scotty Carson obviously depending on his situation in Turkey as he is probably being paid pretty well out there.
  • Scott Carson would be a very good signing for us.
  • Carson's wages would be too high, and I don't think he's that great a goalie. I'd rather give Hamer a chance.
