Brighton, as I'd gone there with my mates for three seasons but after the Full members cup final I saw the light and I knew I was an Addick, even my born and bred in Charlton uncle who supported Man Utd, or (Now I've never ever told anyone this!) my palace supporting Dad could change my mind after that dreary 1987 cup final.
Millwall - as they would have been the closest team and all my pals supported them.
Chelsea - Growing up I always admired them even when they were rubbish.
But to be honest supporting Charlton was family influenced as my father supported them and took me to games as a kid, so no matter where we might of moved to, I would have always been a Charlton fan.
Leeds. I had everything Leeds United in my bedroom and for my birthday treat each year my dad would take me to a big game at Elland Road. I loved them and can probably still name most of the players from the early to mid seventies. Whilst being a Leeds fan i used to go most home games at Charlton with my mate and his dad, mainly to keep him company, but i became hooked and grew to love Charlton Athletic through the 1970's. My Mum was born in Charlton and her side of the family are all Charlton fans apart form those exiled in Sheffield. My Dad was born in Peckham and all his side of the family were/are Millwall yet strangely i never considered Millwall. I grew up in the Orpington/Bromley area with a lot of Palace supporting mates so could have been drawn there but luckily my allegience to Leeds and my regular trips to the Valley mean't that was never going to happen. I still regard Leeds as my second team and keep a healthy interest in Peteborough as they are and have been my local team for over 20 years. Despite my exile to Cambridgeshire since 1986 (yes the promotion year) i have remained a season ticket holder with my Son and love this club through thick and thin well and truly hooked for life, just ask my wife!
Grandad was Millwall, but my dad defected when he was old enough to go on his own in the 50's. I was born in Welling, but moved to Sheffield aged 5. I joined both Junior Blades and Young Owls, before my first Charlton game. So i guess living in Sheffield it could have been either club, but i grew up with mates also supporting Liverpool, Man U (he got laughed at), Leeds, Rotherham, Leicester, Norwich. I've never wavered since my first game and a win at Field Mill.
Loved Charlie George when he scored for Arsenal in the FA Cup final in 71(the only live game on TV in those days), my first ever live game was Arsenal v Leicester about 72, but dad took me to the Valley cos that was his and my grandads team in 73, not looked back since.
Probably West Ham. Dad's family was all Charlton but when I was old enough to make a conscious decision I got the A-Z out and looked for the nearest ground to where I was born. The Valley shaded Upton Park (ignoring the river) so here I am 40 years later. Always had a soft spot for the Hammers though and funnily enough I always enjoy beating them more than Millwall or Palace
I would HAVE (do people seriously not notice that 'would of' is complete nonsense?) supported Crawley.
I do like reading your posts JiMMy 85, but cant help noticing that your username is incorrect, it has upper and lower case characters which is OK, but to have the capital 'M's in the middle of your name is not correct use of capital letters. ;o)

Point taken, but Larry David is my hero, and not saying something doesn't work for me! (and while I know you weren't really after this titbit of an explanation, the MM is a reference to Milsop Melrose, the middle and surnames of the striking legend).
Always been Charlton except when I felt sorry for West Brom when my whole school (St. Saviours, Lewisham) wanted Everton in the '68 FA Cup final. Think it only lasted 90 minutes though.
Whoever my Dad would've supported. If Millwall never existed he'd have been Charlton I'd guess. But then again maybe Fisher/Dulwich would've been bigger than what they are.
Leeds Utd. I went to the FA Cup Final in 1965 and Leeds lost 2-1 to Liverpool in extra time. I thought they were unlucky and have seen them as my second team ever since. Albert Johanneson of Leeds was the first black player to feature in a cup final. My dad got the tickets from a Millwall director.

In fairness, I agree that a lot of speeling and pinctuation has lapsed and it does pee me of sometymes!!

Eh?
Dad's Arsenal, was never going to happen
Only other English team is Millwall because of where I grew up (fat chance of that)
