  • Did I not tell you there would be 5 on show today and low and behold 5 came from the skies. The paras were having a beer behind the west upper at HT and would not sell me their shirts despite the cash I offered.

We have only signed headline contract with the sponsors so probs a bit early to be using the logo.
  • Very bland but chuck a neat sponsor on it it'll look nice, nice and neat. :-)

    ROLL on the championship!
  • Dont like it to be honest, it's year out of date and has literally no design to it, even a stripe along the sleeves or white piping on the shoulder would do wonders. Hope the away kit is slightly more than a plain black polo shirt
  • Anyone else reminded of the Joma shirt a few years back? Take the white stripe off that and it is pretty much the same
  • Like the new shirt
  • It good, but its no cabrini shirt.
  • Quit your bitching.
A plain shirt is better than the Carbrini one or a number of Jomas.

    agree actually
    it's way to baggy !
  • The Carbrini one was a Joma...
  • Looks like a golf shirt

Said in the programme that it "wasn't possible to choose from the entirety of Nike's massive range and have all the kit we needed delivered in time for the 2012/13 Championship season."

Looks like we've gone for the best compromise option available.
  • Like it, simple and traditional, what a home shirt should be
  • I don't like it. I was rather hoping for the badge without the concentric circles this time. Someone posted a mock-up without the circles and so my hopes were raised.
Also, I don't like collars: why have a collar without a tie?

No reason why you couldn't wear a tie with it. ;-)
  • This is probably one of the worst shirts I have ever seen. A polo shirt with the charlton badge on, absolute joke. Won't be buying it for sure.

Evening Kings Hill, good to meet you today, if only for a quick chat, hope your son enjoyed the game.

    this x100.

Wished we'd got umbro, their kits are simple but classy (ie. man city)
  • There is nothing wrong with the shirt, it's simple, a dark red, good design, will look better when the gold sleeve badges on the shirt in the summer
  • Just out of interest, why would you only buy it if it has a Nike badge sewn on, rather than "Avec or some other unknown brand" ?
No disrespect but if you need to ask then I wouldn't be able to explain it to you. I'm sure that says more about me than you, but I prefer well known brands rather than unknown brands.
No disrespect, but it actually speaks volumes when you duck a question like that.

You too Mike. Sadly I think he is still not convinced he likes football, but I'll persevere. He hasa season ticket coming, so I'll try to get him along a few times.

This - as long as the sponsor isn't embarrassing.
  • It's the wrong colour, would prefer Macrom to this.

I didn't think I ducked the question, I answered that I prefer well known brands rather than unknown brands. I just didn't go into great lengths to explain it. If one, genuinely, doesn't buy based on brands then they are probably not the sort of person that will follow the logic of someone that does.
  • Not sure, makes the model look very pale
  • weakest of the Nike kits, thats for sure... hope the sponsor makes it look better
  • Looks a bit like the England shirt from 2008?, the all white plain one, as that had the same slightly old fashioned look
  • Shame it will have a sponsor but a plain, smart design. Less is more.
I gotta shirt like that: with "MiserableOld-ishgit" written under the CAFC badge.

  • Underwhelmed. Wrong red as well.
If the away kit is like that but black I'll get that instead.

The club know this, it will be 'Charlton red' by the time it makes the store.
