86/87 I would of been 5/6 bit early for me to remember.Looking forward to having a big name manufacturer as can't remember the last time we had one. Plus I actually like the Nike shirts.
1986/87 we had Adidas. I'm not sure if we had them the next year but certainly by 1989 we had Admiral who, despite being big in the 70s were nothing special by 1989.0 -
It was 1988 we switched from Adidas to Admiral.
The attached picture shows all our kits.

That Carbrini shirt gives me nightmares!0

In fact, I think that those three kits from 1986-88 are my favourites. They never sold them at the time. There was a red one without the Woolwich sponsor on the front, and I'm not sure they ever sold the white or the blue one - the latter being the won we wore in that Play Off final against Leeds in 1987. The 2008/09, relegation, shirts were probably the worst of the lot - who ever was involved in choosing them probably needs to do something else for a living.
Looking at them all together the three latest, Macron, kits are pretty good.
Stranglely enough I have pretty much all of those shirts stored away, including the limited edition blue "Back at The Valley" away (3rd) shirt. The girl in the club shop told me there were only ever 45 made, and I had to buy the shirt with the shorts together as it was a limited edition.
I loved that "Back at The Valley" logo under the club badge. I think I even saw Henry Irving wearing one of them back in the day. Probably had a cardigan over the top of it though! ;-)0 -
please stay with Macron.0

You could always change your user name to Nikeate!0 -

@Nug - that's made by macron, not nike, so I guess your sauce is a little out of date?0

I'm taking this with a very big pinch of salt but I've heard a rumour that Nike are taking over the club shop. Haven't looked back over the entire thread and someone may already have posted this so apologies if already reported.0

They are.0

The shop isn't run by Nike, it's run by a company called Just Sport0
-
As long as we don't slip back into the habit of not having the replicas in the club shop, until two or three weeks into the new season, then I don't mind who produces it.
But..... It will definetly have the L1 champions badge on it, which makes me happy :-D0 -
