I was gonna go but not going to now. I am not getting halfway up there just to hear the match has been postponed. I will be doing the same as Deadred, waiting for his mrs to supply me with morning and afternoon refreshments so as I don't miss anything and time lunch inbetween the footy and rugby

Er excuse me she's only got one pair of hands............or so she keeps reminding me.
Just out of interest would people prefer The game on but on a lottery of a pitch would could hurt us in a football sense.Or the game postponed and played when the pitch is in a better state?

I'd prefer it if I paid to go on a sunny holiday and it was actually sunny.

This is another factor. The players may not know the game is on until 3 hours before kick off thus meaning we are not properly prepared

I dont think that's fair though as if the pitch is playable, there shouldn't be a risk of hurting us in a football sense. What's to say it would be rearranged to a midweek tuesday in april where its raining and we've got players suspended or knackered from playing midweek and weekend games for a whole month?
what if you don't go and the game goes ahead and you miss it?? Blimey, don't think i could do that
No doubt these are the type of people who leave 5 mins before the end of a game. They're just taking it up a level or two.....
My Dad did that to me in the 62/63 season versus Southampton when Cliff Durandt scored a the last minute winner to keep our Division 2 status alive and we then went and beat Walsall away to stay up. We were down by the level crossing when the roar went up. From that day I vowed never to leave a match early again and the only time I did was when we so poor losing in the FA Cup to Fulham at Loftus Road in 2003...........I'm deeply hurt.

We'll obviously be preparing as if the game is on right up until the moment we hear anything else, so not an issue.
That is a good point - a terrible surface could be a leveller. Also, our squad is probably better equipped to deal with fixture congestion than Chestrefield's - given they have a fight against relegation and a Wembley date they can't afford to rest anybody. They are in good form at the moment but it is all likely to catch up with them so whilst I'm sure we can win tomorrow- it may be better....and easier.... if we play it a little later.

I understand from a proffesional point of view that this is of course the case, I am just saying that, if the players feel the game is in any doubt, it may (subconciously) affect their mindset
If WSS went to a holiday destination which was hot he would wear his Chris Evett sun visor, and let me tell you with his Brown codruoy jacket that is not sharp as a knife.
For people on the 10.25 train, this train stops at Derby which is a 15 minute train journey from Burton where Burton are playing Gillingham (if that one isn't off) and, perhaps more importantly, the National Brew Centre is located.
Very sceptical this will be on. Hope to be proven wrong.
This has made my mind up that I am definately not travelling up!
Bet Chesterfield love you Airman
To be fair, I had already made my mind up anyway. Think there is a very slim chance this will be on & dont want to get halfway there just to find out it has been postponed!. Will Be round about midday Deadred. I will bring a bottle

He has been sharp as a knife all week though. You should have seen the comments on the clique only thread.
