From from owlstalk ''Charlton, Huddersfield, MK Dons and the Pigs have yet to have any real injuries and if they do they will be really tested, we have lost 2 of our best players and managed fine.''
Nope, we didn't lose our captain and one of our better players in Dale.
To be fair it is hard to know about other third division sides with the lack of media interest. They just react to it in a different way to a reasonable person!
Had Huddersfield lad in the yard this morning was preaching how we dont have the squad to cope they have millions said we fell away last year told him its a bit different this year. He said £50 Huddersfield and Sheff Utd go up. I took it..... thats us knackered wont win a game all Jan now.

Had a tenner bet with a huddersfield fan in our Leeds office years ago - said we'd score at least 3 goals against them at theirs. We did (it was the 98 promotion season i think) and he faxed a tenner down and never paid up. Yorkshiremen - Tight and miserable, the lot of em.

Here's another perspective on that - I remember listening to Ranulph Fiennes, it was priceless:
"I would be happy to take anyone on one of my expeditions, with one exception," he said a few years ago. "The only people I would not even look at are people from Yorkshire."
was sheff utd away a pay on the day game as well and if so how many did compared to how many pre bought? Anybody know and does it look likely we'll have 2k up there saturday?

You want to try living and working amongst them mate. Bloody whippet and pigeon crap everywhere!
ONE of the biggest League One crowds of the season is set to be attracted to the first v third clash at Hillsborough on Saturday. Early indications lead the Owls to estimate that around 25,000 will be drawn to their match against leaders Charlton. Tickets have been selling at the rate of 1,000 a day, and sales for home areas are exceeding those that were taken in the run-up to the recent visit of another one of the Owls’ promotion rivals, Huddersfield. Wednesday are asking fans to buy early if they want to be sure of getting the best possible seats. Charlton’s following is expected to be around 1,500, but their fans can also pay on the day so the size of their contigent will depend partly on how many of them do that.
