That's why I am saying take him out the fireing line for a bit , it won't take long before he starts to get peters at the game because unfortunately that is the nature of football now days

Maybe, maybe not, it depends on the player. Some players when dropped will come back stronger and more determined, others will wonder why they've been dropped and react negatively and go even further off the boil. This is where a manager has to know his players and what motivates them.

It's my strength at football manager. CP only has to pick up the phone ;0)
When my son plays on FIFA 12 he scores EVERY game and sometimes scores as many as 8 in a match - often tracking back to his own box to put in a tackle then running the length of the pitch to score.
People do realise that real life isn't like that, don't they? Just checking.

BWP was poor yesterday, there's no getting away from it. Like I said to NLA this is his longest period I can remember with out him having a break through injury. He's been involved in pretty much every game for us and has on the whole been exceptional. If you think back to the first 2/3 months of the season he looked sharp in his touch, harried defenders at every opportunity and every half chance resulted in either a shot at goal or a goal. However, the last month he has looked jaded. He's out of form which is fine every striker will go through that, no problem at all. I don't think he's had a change in attitude or anything like that I just think he's tired. On numerous occasions yesterday he was making what I call "token runs" and at one point we were attacking and he made no effort at all to get anywhere near the box. Let's get things clear I am not in anyway attacking Bradley, I just think he needs a rest for a week. Having brought Clarke in is an excellent opportunity to do this. Bradley will be an integral part of whether we finish in the top 2 or the playoffs this season, we need him rested and sharp again.
He was a whisker away from going round the Oldham keeper who just got a finger on the ball for it to run away from him. That moment could have gone the other way and he would have scored, we then wouldn't be having this conversation.
This typifies the dividing line for goal scorers. They have magic spells when they are in the right place most of the time and spells when it doesn't quite work out.

Thought we played Orient no wonder we lost I was watching the wrong game!

Thought the thread was about BWP and the last few games. If it is about one performance then it really is a joke.
Red u might aswell give up mate , some cant see the sense in an opinion differing to their own ,
It is a logical comment made without controversy we have both said give him a break and a little rest not drop him because of his form , just give the guy a break
played out of position yesterday, but with 10 men everyone needed to put a shift in regardless of what position for the good of the team, he didn't seem up for it and that can be abit of a worry if we are ever in this situation again as i would like us to keep our best players on the pitch.
Needs to be a centre forward again though, recently his drifting out to the wing when you want him to be in the centre on the last man.
Bradley has scored 23 times for us in 45 appearances, so that's a fraction over 1 goal for every 2 games. I think those that are criticising him misunderstand probability. Try tossing a coin 45 times; I bet it doesn't even out perfectly HTHTHTHTHT etc. There will be little runs of heads and little runs of tails. Similarly with goalscoring, just because the overall stats are for a goal every other game it doesn't mean that you'll get that pattern in reality. We had a little patch in October-November where he scored 7 goals in 5 consecutive league matches, now he's on a run of five without a goal. It's nothing to worry about unless he starts worrying about it, and that last thing he needs is loads of people going on about it. Of course it's a little barren streak and CP will probably want to subtly check out if there's anything that will help matters, but there's no need for a mass panic.
I like Kermo but i think that Stephens and Hayes were a fundamental part of the passing football we were playing and BWP seems to like to be slid in from midfield rather than getting onto flick ons and knock downs. Its a conundrum because with Waggy also out of the side, BWP becomes the only player witha ny real pace to get in behind. All these factors are impacting on BWP i reckon but i'm sure CP will solve it. I don't think CP should drop Kermo but i think that since Stephens, in particular, has come out of the side, BWP is feeding more off scraps than expansive pass and move play.
Who said he is ''the problem''? One or two people who enjoy being ''controversial'' - and then others rise to the bait by starting threads like this about it. The 'controversialists' must be delighted. Ignore.
IMHO he's not " the problem " but then again he isn't " the solution" at the moment.
Risking repeating myself begining of the season he was given the ball to feet or inside the defense now he gets it around his neck what happened to CP plan to play through midfield perhaps other teams pitches are not up to the valley standard. Its frustrating for BWP get over it and work harder.A rest you sure !
Is BWP used to playing a full season with out an enforced break
Word has it that he has dodgy knees
Don't care about his knees! It's his head and feet that matter. He will be leading scorer this season and next. If we don't piss him off, he may stay long enough to reach Benty levels of Charlton love! If your reading Bradley. Enjoy your Christmas and let us all cheer you on through the rest of the season as you win the golden boot.
I remember watching him at Wycombe away, he looked so sharp in the warm up, I knew he would score and he did straight away. However at Walsall ,he really did look out of it, a corner came across and he hadn't even realised the ball had been kicked, looking out elsewhere across the stadium. We need to do whatever we can to support him in finding the form again, we can support him when he's on the pitch and CP can make the right decisions off the pitch.

Are you the father of Bexley Dan?
Better looking brother actually. Better footballer too.
Well that's our midfield pairing sorted ;0)

Are you BWP 's travel agent ? ;-)

It seems that we all agree that BWP is a bit off-form at the moment.
We have a strong squad. Play a different combination up front for a few games.
Then bring him back in a few weeks. What's the problem?
