Just been speaking with a Fulham fan. He said when Wilsa Krakov played there this season in the UEFA Cup they were allocated the usual away end but due to high demand were also given a section of the stand that is opposite the dug outs. This could mean we are allocated even more than the expected 6000.
Will be interesting to see how many we take.
The side area is the basic away allocation in their Euro games, with the Putney End as overspill
I think we will near enough fill it. But that will be with half or so sold during the general sale period with plenty of people's mates tagging along who follow other clubs/wouldn't go usually. Bit like Blackburn/Boro turnouts anyone who wants to go enough should be able to get a ticket.
has it even been decided whether it's a saturday or sunday kick off yet?
Chelsea also at home one is likely to be switched.
When are the TV games to be decided - We are not likely to be on but a switch decision won't be made until after they are announced
There is anaother thread that Airman has commented on, the decison is still being made about Chelsea v Pompey on TV so the police cannot commit until that is sorted.
Airman says tickets will go on sale Fri at earliest.
One will definitely be moved, not least because there will be over 10k away fans at both games and Portsmouth at Chelsea in the cup where all the old'uns come out will be seen as a risk fixture - they have only just finished locking up Cardiff from 2009!
I am sure it will be us moved to Sunday, further to travel by Portsmouth fans
Good shout I was thinking that
yes but chelsea portsmouth is much more likely to attract trouble and will therefore require a higher police presence, so in that respect would be more sensible moving that to the Sunday when more police can be dedicated to that fixture with less games etc going on elsewhere across London.
more people will drive on a Sunday as you can park for free around kings road on Sunday, all the shops will also be open as its Xmas sales....could go either way....still think it will be us moved to limit the number of cars to detract from the shopping
The 10 of us that went top Brentford (first away game this season) have now got the bug and looks like there will be about 20 of us for this one - assuming they don't move it to a sunday. Would make more sense to move the Chelsea / Pompey game from a police point of view but maybe more sense to move ours from a tv point of view. Hope the police are making the decisions.
what with having all those spare channels you would think ITV would try and do more games, I assume they make money on the arrangement, advertising and what not, perhaps they just don't have enough cameras and staff?
