Pritchard is still learning the game, perfect player to have on the bench.
Would personally start Stephens alongside Hollands if and when he gets fit. Plays more football and gets Jacko into the game more.
agreed - we coped without him for the first few weeks but really need him back now asap but not ready for tomorrow so for me i'd go with Pritchard who was our best midfield presencea t Fulham for me and i see it being similar with Wednesday applying a lot of pressure and having a lot of possession.
I don't think it's harsh, Pritchard is hard working and industrious - but not much more.
Still early to tell I think, but I think he'd score a few goals given the games and looks more comfortable on the ball than defensive players like Hughes and Semedo.
I don't like Hollands and Russel together. For me, they're too alike. Hughes is good with Hollands because he allows Hollands to go forward whilst Hughes can sit back. Pritchard is good with Hollands as well because he's got more energy, he's more attacking than Russel which allows Hollands to sit back, but they can both change roles. I have seen Pritchard sit back whilst Hollands went forward and he isn't afraid to tackle. Hollands just doesn't seem confident next to Russel.
For me vs SWFC I'd have either Hollands and Pritchard or Hughes and Hollands.
For all Pritchard's energy and enthusiasm he's still a bit physically lightweight to my eyes, Semedo could hold him off with one finger sadly. If they get Semedo onto Hollands or whoever is our main 'creative' type Pritchard would not be able to do much. That said I rate him and think he's only going to improve (age notwithstanding), but he's not the finished article. A bit more technique and vision, Stephens-style, certainly has it's uses.
I think Pritchard has not yet passed the Charlton Life test as being deemed good enough ( As someone else on Charlton Life pointed out about Wiggins , Kermo and lots of others at the start of their tenure) Pritchard has not had many minutes on the pitch due to injury , and the team doing so well.
I have seen enough of him , including Preseason games , to think he will make it , and i hope Chris Powell extends his contract in the Summer.
Technically he is good , and this is the dodgy bit .... for a little guy he has a big tackle, Fabregas and Scholes weren't giants either but did ok , i think given time Pritchard will make it , he's intelligent enough , and has enough passion and ability to learn to improve his game.
Pritchard wouldn't have played against Fulham unless CP thought he was up to it. I didn't think he'd play as I thought the Prem big boys would bully him out the game. Shows how much I know because Pritchard was one of our best players. Some of the interviews I have read suggest that we have high hopes for him. Certainly think he'll get a new contract even if/when we do get promoted.
Pritchard will be fine against Semedo. He was roughing it with Dembele/Dempsey at the weekend and came out on top on more than a few occasions. They're Premier League bullies, Semedo is a third tier bully and I do think Pritchard can get the better of him.
I like pritchard, he's come from nowhere & is making a good impression. He looked good at Fulham, however watching extended highlights he did seem to be lacking defensively & often let his man drift. I think he played at Fulham to give him game time & a bit more experience because the pressure was off whereas at wednesday I think we'll need plenty of experience to settle the game down early on (& I don't mean play defensively, we just need to be solid) with Pritchard maybe coming on later on if we need to change things.
Pritchard was our MOTM against Fulham and has the energy levels that Semedo doesn't like - I think he'll play as Chrissy will be aware of Jose's weaknesses as well as anybody.

No he wasn't, according those Lifers who were at Craven Cottage Solly was MOTM
He was my MOTM then but also quite a few others. I think we can all agree he had a good game.
As somebody who really liked Semedo I was surprised how often we lost the midfield battles and noticed we were more likely to do this the more energetic the opponent's midfield were.

shall i give CP a refresher on them or not bother?

Agreed. Powell wouldn't have picked Pritchard to play against a Premiership team, if he didn't believe he could do a decent job.
And the player impressed everone by his performance.
I would assume Hughes would be the like for like change for Russel, in terms of defense, tackling etc (not Stephens forte) but in CP we trust. He's hardly put a foot wrong so far!
Stephens has proven he can play with Hollands. Pritchard deserves to keep his place but DAle will now be on the bench and will get a chance to work his way back into the side. I don't expect it to be easy though.
