That's all they are though draw specialists and if they do as people say get men behind the ball to protect their record, then that will play into our hands.
I thought the first 10-15 mins we was playing a bit of a long ball game, which wasn't working. Once we started playing our own football on the floor we dominated in every department.
Am I right in saying Hudds have one game until the record or?
If so we play them the game after which is also a plus.
Another excellent win, @Plaaayer said to me just after HT "Imagine being a Sheff Wed or Huddersfield fan checking your phone for the other results when you're drawing at home to see we're already 4-0 up! Must be a right kick in the balls". That sort of thing can deal a real killer blow to supporters, I remember having the same feeling 2 years ago with Norwich and then the early part of last season with Brighton.
Kermorgant, Wiggins and Morrison were outstanding. Kermo can do everything Hayes can do but so much more as well. Our forward line is at least upper championship class and i reckon Wiggins will play in the prem - what a player.Like Hollands a lot as well - a great all round midfielder. I can see us being 10 points clear by christmas and CP has to take full credit as i thin k the introduction of Kermo and Green (allowing waggy to be the pacy sub) has completed things. I'm convinced we will go up now and think we're gonna whack a lot of teams this season like we did yesterday.
what about the cross field volley from Hollands to Green, cant believe it hasn't been mentioned, thats up there with Stephens ball to Jackson at Bury (although that one led to a goal.)
I loved bwp's flick over the defenders head and first time volley that rifled just over the bar in the first half. It was exhibition stuff at times and i think its just going to get better and better. What was great was that we didn't try to force it at any point. It was a controlled dismantling and just looked so easy.
i agree about euell - a strange signing and would imagine that if / when we strengthen in jan, he will drop out of things. i think waggy and stephens are of equivalent quality to the starting line up yesterday but swop any other plyer and the quality dips and i reckon cp may want to bolster things in jan to make sure.
He sliced a couple of kicks, but his handling was good, distribution was good, and dealt with the shots he had to deal with well. Weak link, come off it
Think Hamer deserves a bit more credit. 4 clean sheets out of 12 and 12 goals past him since taking over from Robbie, great saves including a penalty and even has an assist to his name. The more he plays the better he will get.
Other than the 3 (at least) shots that he fumbled.
His aerial keeping is good, his distribution is good, his communication is poor and his handling from long shots is poor.
We will get away with it this year, but Im already looking at next season.
Did they have three shots that he actually saved..........well just about I guess, so I'm struggling to know where these three shots were that he fumbled. I can remember one...and maybe one or two that he paried, which are of course 'not' fumbles.
Think you're being very very harsh on the fella, he's a decent enough keeper who so far hasn't let us down and after yesterdays result needs to bask in the glory of the result like the rest of the team without being unfairly sniped at by us fans.
yeah, euell looked a little out of his depth but then i dont know what wagstaff added either when he came on at the same time. euell just saw a lot more of the ball.
After the first ten minutes i have to say i was surprised with the final result - preston came out looking solid and well organised. Then we scored and we just kept scoring. Excellent goals - especially the last one - what a cross! brilliant header too. Preston did not really look like scoring, and i was disappointed with their first - their second however was outstanding. Brown still up to his strange tactics of sending the players out to be insulted by the opposing teams fans - is that really a good idea to do that to a team full of injuries and low on confidence? Very odd.
Nice to see the attendances going steadily up since the start of the season - it seems people who have season tickets but never turn up have started to appear as well. Looking forward to the 28th - hopefully get the night off work! ...
Maybe being overly critical on Hamer but I just don't rate him
Luckily the back 4 are very very solid
Not worth moaning about we are top and I think this side will break many Charlton records this season
I respect that opinion, but surely the defence would not be so solid if they didn't have faith in the keeper? That said, I think we probably have the best two centrebacks (both individually and as a pair) as we've had for a long time, Solly is getting even better as he goes and Wiggins, well, enough said.
Hamer hasn't had to make too many saves so far, which is a testament to how good the defence has been. He's also had a few penalties and deflected shots go past him. Haven't seen how good a shot stopper he can be yet.
The only worry I have is his kicking, he seems confident enough (which is better than no confidence) but I'd like to see him play a little bit safer, he got caught out vs Stevenage when he didn't get rid of it and the volley kick didn't go well either on Saturday, not a huge problem but CP will probably have a word about it.
The thing I like most is the mantra of concentrating only upon the game ahead, and not allowing ourselves to start thinking and dreaming ahead too far. It will be the New Year before we reach the halfway mark in the season, we then have the January window, so right now it's ' watch out Halifax here we come '.

Well he's stopped one penalty this season so far, and he's been the difference between a draw and a loss and a win and a draw on 2 or 3 occasions.
I'm hoping that Hamer like Wiggins will improve as times goes by , don't get on his back people , he hasn't played a preseason with us like a lot of the others have , and i think that puts him at a disadvantage to the others who joined then, give him time , with good coaching , he will come good.
He's fine- hasn't been amazing but hasn't been bad and is a young keeper who is getting better- his dealing with crosses definitely seems to have improved. We have a good side- can't we just be happy about that without trying to pick holes in it?

great result great display a great saturday !
Jason Euell offers nothing, if Jackson was less then 100% & needed substituting why didn't CP bring wagstaff on to take his place & leave green on ?
Cracking performance again, I would say we have 6/7 of the best players in their position in this league.
Only weak link in this side is the keeper, when we get promoted a proper keeper next season is an absolute must, or maybe January if we have a wobble.
Promoted by Easter.
