Lots of groundless conjecture here. He probably likes it here, but if he gets a move that doubles his money to a higher profile club then he might well fancy it. The board might be tempted if a decent fee was offered, he's hardly got anything left on his contract and it remains to be seen if he's signing an extension. If it does happen it doesn't make him or the board plums. Players come and players go.

I think BWP has been around the block a few times now.At this stage in his career playing regularly and being happy ans settled where he is, counts for a lot. I would also think his old man is quite influential in his decision making and I would imagine Chris Powell is quite high up in his estimations.
We all know the 'one aim' for this season, and our board are obviously astute.
It wouldn't surprise me to see us strengthen further in January to further increase our chances of getting out of this league - the balance sheet for Charlton in this league compared to the one above means that any strategy which does not maximise our chances of promotion (within obvious financial limits) just won't cut it. That, includes allowing our number one asset and goal machine to leave when he is currently firing us to promotion. I would hope that if (possibly inevitably) BWP is injured, the board have a plan B to try and lessen the impact of that - this may or may not involve the January transfer window.....
When I hear that the likes of Joe Jordan etc... have been at the ground I assume they will be assigned to look at the team as a whole. Solly, Wiggins, Hollands, BWP, Morrison...all these players (and others) can easily be considered capable of playing at a higher level. Yet, Solly, Hollands and Morrison in particular were unheard of by many before this season. They are making names for themselves and that can only be a good thing. We bought these players on the cheap, it's a testament to the board & SCP that we might well be tempted by an offer 4-5-6 times as much money as what we bought them for. CAFC is back in business.
I am assuming that we will continue to clear out - Francis (allegedly going to Bournemouth Monday), Benson, Doherty. If we can continue our form to January, we should have built up a points lead and could actually start to bring in players to help carry us over the finishing line and be players for next season
Lets get mathematically safe from relegation by January 1st. We will then have a clearer idea about the worst and best case scenarios. Maybe planning will need to be shrewd and decisive at that point.

Agree and not just players for this season but next as well.
I think Wiggins could be the one we struggle to keep hold of.
You're not wrong carly :-( a classy classy player, even when we're in the championship next year we'll find it difficult to keep hold of him because he'll be chased by premier clubs. We'll need to do a Norwich/Southampton to show him where we're going (just in case there's any doubt)
It's all about whether BWP wants to go if he is offered double or treble the wages elsewhere. The board won't sell for the money but if he wants to go, he'll go. It's as simple as that and Henry keeps hinting that we are lining up some players in the window which makes me think BWP could be on his way.
BWP (and Wiggy if necessary) will develop a curious ankle injury shortly after Christmas and will be locked inside the soundproof underground bunker beneath Curbs' garage until the transfer window is well and truly closed.
Got to say that all this talk of "5 mil" is utter shite. Bradley is a great L1 player, probably will be a good championship player. His value is probably around 1.5m and it wont be a prem team coming for him. Cant see us selling though, maybe in the summer if we dont go up.
As for Wiggy, cant see that he'll leave after 6 months.

More interested in who we are going to buy in January than concerned about who we might sell.

Are you saying that BWP is leaving or that we are lining up players in the January window?
So he can prove he's better than Shaun.
