Only just started, playing as Charlton at the minute.
Picked up Brandy, Josh Wright, Marcel Seip all on free, picked up a couple highly rated youngsters Sone Aluko and Ricardo Gray for development. Training JJ as an AML which he starts out as unconvincing but plays well coming on as a sub at AMC.
Brought In two loan players, Ben Amos GK and Sanchez Watt. Hogan Ephraim signed for me on my first game but didn't save it, wouldn't sign for me this time round
Got rid of Benson, Doherty and Francis straight away, even though Benson was my best ST in pre season.
Only played a few games so far, sitting second which isn't bad seeing as the team still gelling.
I read on a couple forums that tactics take a while to learn in this years game so its best to learn just the one tactic until fully familiarized then tweak it or try new tactics to learn afterwards. I guess this was why I kept losing all the time in my attempt (half p**sed xmas day) haha.
I agree CrayAddick starting at the bottom is far more enjoyable, only i don't have much time to myself these days so whatever time i do get it's spent playing 3 games as much as possible. Battlefield 3, Pro Evo 12 (ditched fifa12) and FM2012.

Ben Amos is a cracking young keeper.
For the purposes of the thread you should focus all that spare time in to one game.
In the 2014 2015 season, started as charlton got them promoted, resigned to join struggling stoke who got taken over when I was in charge and the budget went crazy 76 million to spent, got them to dizzy heights of 5th, and took the chelsea job, got sacked from them bizarrely 2nd in league 2 points off top with 3 games in hand, took on the truro city job despite offers from bigger clubs, promoted out of blue square south now sitting top of blue square prem in march 5 points clear of accrington, charlton have been twice relegated and sit bottom of league 2 with only 2 players from preavious regime left, hamer and kermorgant. jj, bwp, taylor and harriot play for me now although bwp is awful and doesn't get anywhere near my side. Sub bench if lucky. Just drew 2 2 with wycombe in 3rd round of fa cup. Onwards and upwards. Sammy ameobi top scorer for me with 14 goals. Chris solly playing week in week out in pl for everton and waggy playing for west ham in pl. Funny how things work out, oh forgot jenkinson is at dortmund and won player of europa league last season rating of 8.11

Go to the board and request a feeder team, this way u can get in talent for free whilst bringing in money..
Started a new Charlton game , up to October , Charlton are 2nd behind Mk Dons , Walsall in 3rd? any good tips for players? just sold a load of Shelvey clauses , raised 3 million, got 2 million to spend.
Josh Wright is awesome in my save, always around 7/7.2 well worth a look if he is still on a free in your game.
Charlton's defence is pretty decent, just grab another goal keeper as first or back up to Hamer. I managed to find a few decent players but can't get work permits for them
I recommend a parent team for now and saving that £2m for the Championship. With the right tactics you will gain promotion with Charlton as the squad is pretty strong.
Lowton and Maguire should be cheap from Sheff U, solves the problem that Solly and Taylor aren't very good on the game. Arteaga is a good Spanish left winger you should be able to get cheap as well

The first season I signed Mellor (160k), Nathan Baker,Andros Townsend and Dean Parrett on loan and Marcel Seip on a free. Mellor and Seip played most games and the other three were squad players.
Then in the championship I signed six youngsters to go into my youth team and then go out on loan. I also resigned Parrett on loan and Tomas Kalas on loan to partner Morrison and then a few free transfers including Watt,Drury,Kilbane,Priskin and Sonko.
I am now in the Prem and after two weeks of the transfer window I have signed Kalas for (2.3m), Pilkington (850k), Parrett (275k),Caddis,Papac, Lee-Chung-Yong and Scharner on free transfers. The more expensive signings are George Boyd (1.3m), Shane Long (5m), Steve Morison (850k) and Wilfried Zaha (3m).

I have everyone on a high individual workload with my assistant doing the player training focus. The whole team is on a very high workload with the additional focus area as teamwork.
The only person who has moaned is Wiggins and the players seem to stay fit enough but if anyone is tired my squads strong so I just rotate a few players around.
@covered end junior Yeah seems alright, maybe give him a run in reserves. He is really good when he gets going mate.
@Mendonca In Asdas Yeah he is playing very well for me, rotating him and Alonso as DM at the minute, always picks out decent passes and half decent corner/free kick taker too. Handy player to have.
I took Marnick Vermijl on loan as cover for Solly but thinking of giving young Jordon Cousins a go at right back. Bumped him up to reserve squad and hes playing alright.
I just sold Solly to Norwich for £1 million. In my second season in the Prem and I' got Michel Morganella at RB on a free. He's amazing. The only survivors from the current squad are Hamer, BWP and Waggy. Hamer's only there because I need a 3rd keeper and he's never complained, and BWP and Waggy always score goals, even at the top level. Jordan Rhodes however does not. Well played Football Manager.

Unbeaten so far but drawing to many.
Sitting 6th having drew 11 an won only 4... Ben Amos on loan in goal, and Stern John up top. Hopefully cafc job will come up.

From what I can tell Brandy isn't what he was compared to FM2011 but will still make a decent Inside Forward.
I've played BWP as AML/AMR and still pops up with goals so might try 4 ST attacking front for my 4-4-2/4-3-3 tactic.
