Forgot I was in the Foot Man thread for a minute and was really shocked. Never heard anyone knock Taylor before. You're right though, he's useless in Foot Man. Jackson's worthless as well, it's not really on

why in fm do all of the good cafc players who could probably make it in championship suck when you get up there and you have a completely different team just 2 seasons?

All rated based on their performances last season. Compared to other players in the game they are rated as good League 1 players, some decent Championship. Seems most people can win promotion first season so I don't think they are far off.
Most are getting a boost for the update after the January transfer window.

Using a 4-2-2-2 standard/counter I've got through to the Cup quarters beating Premiership and Championship teams, yet I'm losing to rubbish like Hartlepool and Tranmere in the league. I've tried playing more attacking, manage about 20 shots on goal then am taken down by the opposition's one shot on target.

Worked nicely against most team, only problem was I got 2 up at half time and then we would get sloppy and concede in the 2nd half
im currently starting the 2017/18 season, its my second season in the premiership my first was 2 years ago, the finances seem to be finally balancing themselves but no premiership clubs will even consider loaning me any of their youngsters

I've not played much with Charlton but have you tried playing less attacking? You might create better quality chances playin more patiently.
Won the league with Welling and then joined QPR who had just been relegated from Prem. I think it's a bit unrealistic that I went from Welling (Blue Square Bet South) to QPR (Premiership).

All depends on how cheap you were to sign and how much of a revelation you were at Welling, I'm pretty sure managers would be snapped up in real life if they have a win % of 80 or above, no matter how young and experienced they are!
currently top of the blue square south with dartford managed to get to fa cup third round ( beat scunny at home) only to draw manchester united at home who played a full strenght side and beat me 10-0 us and welling fighting it out for auto promotion.

That'll probably be down your starting reputation. Start with Sunday League Player and it should be slightly harder to do well and take longer to get offered bigger jobs.
Got promoted (2nd place) with the Addicks in my 1st season (although I had to retire and add a new manager in Jan when I got sacked for being 7th, yet only 4 pts behind 2nd).
Bournemouth won the league (wtf?). Like others, I signed Josh Wright and Kelvin Etuhu and both were absolute quality. Also signed Stephen Jordan (LB) who was better the Wiggins. Tended to play Jackson in central role (on the odd occassions I played him) as I play AML/R.
jan 1 and been offered blackburn job, they're 17th and 'very insecure' financially, is it worth taking just to add a prem club to fm cv or does that not really matter when it comes to big jobs. Also I have 90% win rate (fm is kind to me some reason) so it may not add much.
Blooming heck , i'm Charlton Manager , its July 2013 , i finished 4th from bottom in the Championship , ( I slid down the table with 11 defeats in a row , from a lofty mid table position) after having a team meeting .... a really really bad idea.
During Pre - season Man United have approached me with a 5 year deal , & a 46 million transfer budget , should i take the job?
At Charlton I currently have no transfer funds to spend , & very little wage budget to play with , but the old heart strings are keeping me here , i could get the boot from Charlton if i get off to a bad start , should i take the cash from Man U and run to the hills?
MIA. Take the man utd job and spend the money on buying charlton players for silly money, filling Mr slaters pockets......................It's the least you can do for him. ;-)

As the patch is based on January we probably can't bring in many more players without letting some go.
