Bournemouth have had a bid for Feeney (alledgedly from Millwall) so they really need a striker. I actually wouldn't mind Feeney signing for us but don't think the Bournemouth fans would like that.
I'll second that. I know some will be disappointed (Bexley Dan) but really think he'll win alot of you over if he gets his chance this season. Think he could go in the january window though.
Smith is clearly one for the future so we need the cover - having a player of Benno's ability as 4th choice striker is pretty good IMO and the time will surely come over the course of a long season when we are going to have to call on him. I'm happy.
Me neither, it seems the strangest of CP's choices so far to me. I've understood pretty much every other move he's made so far but this constant act of trying to get Benno out the door doesn't make sense to me.
this is down to benno mate from what i have heard and fair play to him tbh, he hasnt done anything wrong to be in the situation he is, he is not what we need and i believe we will still get better but if he dont move then we wont be any worse off, but we wont have improved an area in which we need to
i believe that a loan move will benefit him right now
Our matchday squad will improve if we put Benson on the bench ahead of Euell...which is what we need now he looks to be staying for the foreseeable future.

disagree massively, i would pick Euell above benno every single day of the week, i have seen enough of benno in the last few seasons to know what he brings to a game and in my opinion our style of football will make him look a poorer player than he is, the only time i would pick him above Euell is if we need to pump the ball long, there is to much midfield play before the ball goes wide and gets delivered in to the box, and benno's movement is not right for that style
Fair enough NLA. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this one. I think Benson is twice the player a 34yr old Euell is and would link the player better (much better touch) plus score more goals from flourishing from Danny Green crosses as he did at D&R.
No point in sending Benson out on loan, the deal was only ever about recouping the 150K transfer fee and if there is no money in it then what's the point of him going on loan from our POV?
Bottom line is that if Benson had been offered good terms by a southern club then he would have probably moved but as the best offers were from Bradford, Notts County etc then with a young family he chose to stay put.
He will play the season out here and then head off in July on a freebie and pick up a nice signing on fee at his next club.
BTW, I wish people would stop going on about Schlupp! Leicester would be mad to let him go on loan at the moment.
My Orient mate has just told me that Benno is going there on loan once the window opens. They have just sold Revell and only have 3 strikers and the manager said they already have someone coming in once the loan window opens.

thats football mate all about opinions, i like paul he is a nice guy and an honest footballer, i would never dream of slagging a player off who is a tryer and benno would work his socks off for the cause, if i was only worried about goals then benno over Euell all day long, but i think powelly is looking at the bigger style of play,
There is every point sending benno out on loan and none of them financial now
benno deserves to play football this is not his doing and he has acted in a very professional way
we need all cafc players playing just in case of injury or suspension so it keeps him fit and potentially on form
it releases a space that a better player can fill and with Beckford going to leicester who knows their plans for Schlupp

Expect him to sign for someone in the next hour.
No, nearly a done deal apparently.
I thought Feeney was leaving Bournemouth for Millwall but B'mouth chairman says he doesn't expect any movement in or out.
Someone should tell him about Senokot....
Isn't that a cure for constipation!
