He doesn't really do much to dispel the thought that footballers are a thick bunch. He's got DALE in big bold letters down his arm. Is this so he can remember his name when asked?
Apparently, he's got EMMA on the opposite arm. :-D
At 21 he has a lot of potential to be a great player. If he were able to produce what he did for us during the first few games every game there would be no way we would hold onto him in League One. But the guy is still learning and will get better.
I agree with some that he disappears in games and can often be quiet for large periods of the game, but he would then pull off a cracking pass that would all of a sudden announce his presence and show what a great talent he can be.
Here's to hoping for more like his debut performance.
When I saw this picture and saw the tattoo on his arm, my heart sank a little bit.
All it did was conjure up unhappy memories of "MARCUS".
However, this guy seems a different sort of man of the pitch and a different sort of man on it.
Seems to have dropped slightly off the pace in the last few games, but he has got quality. For every four "Hollywood" passes he attempts that don't quite come off, the fifth try will create a great chance. I don't think we've had a player capable of that quality game-changing pass (see Jackson's goal at Bury) since Reid left.

Why does anyone have their own name tattoo'd on their own arm? Beyond me.... can understand a loved one - the wife or childrens' names or the god of your choice - but not your own name! Each to his own and its his choice. Actually might come in useful I suppose if you got a bash on the head and amnesia - but then you'd need you full name and address and what happens if you move? Oh dear....I've lost it!
perhaps he does have a bad memory - or it may be a tribute to the superstar hosy of supermarkey sweep and the lottery show the talented mr winton - have we ever had a "worse person on TV forum ?
Was that the chance he missed? Because if it was I'm beginning to think I may have been a little harsh...
I have to agree, this chance was much more difficult than the Exeter one. Here he had to lift the ball over the sliding players and avoid getting clattered. Against Exeter and Bournemouth he showed great composure to slot it in as he was in enough space to pick his spot. He has scored two goals that now departed players, A) wouldn't have been capable of at all, or would score 1 in 20 chances like that.
You can't underestimate the players trying to block him for that miss. They did so well in putting him off by sliding in. If they didn't slide in, easy goal. He probably still should have scored, but it wasn't a sitter due to the defenders sliding in.
I think I might have been sat in front of his parents....I thought that they might well be related to one of our players as they were clearly northern!
I'm sure they were heartily amused by the bloke behind them calling the Rochdale players northern C***s!
They did seem to enjoy the day, though. I certainly hope so! I think they must have seen that the Addicks faithful have taken to their offspring and he was impressive again yesterday, so hopefully a good day all round.

I think many of us have high expectations of him .......easy to forget he's only 21.

And as others have pointed out, he's still young.
