Think I've missed wss's previews more than the actual football.
I'm with clem, can't see us winning.
I seem to recall you being pessimistic this time last season as well.
Bournemouth certainly have the incentive to prove that they are better than us - not only did we sign their best two players but also Francis turned down their kind offer of a contract and we tried to nab their then manager.
2-2 (Waggy & Stephens) and as the season unfolds Bournemouth will begin to realise what a good result that is for them, despite having their own chances to nick it on Saturday.
Its that fantastic exciting anticipation of the unknown with bags of hopeful expectation. With what is virtually a brand spanking new team it all hinges on confidence and the first 15 minutes with or without a goal. I f we are predominantly in their goal area for that first 15 minutes then we will definitely win... I really dont care by how many... its all about confidence and I am really hoping that for the first time all those booers will shut up or go home because if you want this NEW team to gain confidence in playing as a team then be POSITIVE on Saturday. BWP definitely to score several. I just hope Hamer has got a loud mouth and can boss the defence because that is still our weakest link. I expect a croaky voice come Sunday morning and I haven't felt this excited about a game in a long time
Think it will be close. We win by a narrow margin. Fancy Hayes for first GS. Wonder what odds the two centre backs will be, do like a 20-1 shot defender who pops up regularily with a goal. Last one of those we had was Sam Sodje. Paid for my day out a couple of times.
Catching the train up from the wilds of Cornwall on Friday afternoon, check into the B&B, greasy spoon breakfast Saturday morning then on to the Valley. Better be 3-1 after that lot! Bournemouth to score first, 1-0 down at half-time, then BWP and JJ score in short order followed by Wiggins out to make a point. (Header from corner to signify that this season we can do set pieces too). Oh god, whatever I don't know. Looking forward to it tho.
So much expectation - I feel a 1-1 coming on....as has been said; 1-0 at half time and dreaming of lifting the trophy before an equaliser when reality bites!
Strong first half takes us 2-0 up but we are brought back to earth early in the second half. We'll then endure a tough nail biting finish with 5 or 10 to go we get a third.
we've won too many of our opening games for the run to continue and too many people on here think we just need to turn up & we'll win.............and that is dangerous.

I think we will be a tad too strong for them.
Hayes and Benson (off the bench) to score!
Robbie to sit amongst the fans after not making the final 16.

Whatever happens, we need to be patient.
