Let's stop ignoring the obvious and get Euell onboard, if he really was there tonight then that must say something about his continuing allegance to the club.

I thought Alonso looked half decent before going off. Good technique and seemed very aware of what was going on all around him.
Very little plus points apart from that. Sullivan had a shocker for the goal, despite calling for it and being very vocal all game.
Their keeper made a fantastic save from a Rasiak header as well. Might just have been me but I really didn't think Raziak looked overly interested, I'll be optimistic and say that was down to lack of match fitness as mentioned by someone else earlier though.
Knackered. Fun evening though. Frustrating scoreline but a lot of positive lessons coming out of a good workout for fringe and youth alike. And that's what it was always going to be.
That said, I can't help but worry about our defending out wide. Centre-backs as a whole look a little more confident and organised under Powell but as with many sides who aim for flowing football, position and strength at full-back positions has been alarming no matter who has played. And this dates back to late last season as well.
Francis Solly Bessone Cousins Evina and Wiggins are getting constantly caught out or out fought. Given how diverse that group of players is in many departments outside of their position, you wouldn't expect them all to be making the same mistakes unless the problem is tactical.

Euelly was there tonight sitting with Bover , Pope and Osborne , he looked relaxed , i was too nervous to go and ask him when he was signing, had a nice blue watch though!
Rasiak should have had a hatrick , he fluffed two sitters that Euell would have put away , i know it sounds like i'm being harsh , but he looked not match fit , more like Paul Hayes did against Woking if anyone was there.
The 1st Carshalton goal was a cross that Sullivan shouted out mine, came to claim it and made a horlicks off it , 1st clanger i've seen him make , guess he's human , good job the game was not at the Valley , maybe this Ben Hamer thing has unsettled him as well , perhaps he thought he could challenge Robbie , but can he challenge Hamer?
Poor performance from a largely inexperienced side, but they should have done much better. Not impressed with Raziak - thought his touch, movement and finishing was poor. I can see how he did not score in the Cyprus League last season. The save from their keeper from his point blank header was straight at him and it literally just hit him. Cousins and Evina really struggled, but fair play to Carshalton - they played very well. Both goals were errors and had Carshalton been able to take their chances, it could have been much worse....
I think to put things into perspective, All of the players who should be knocking on the door of the 1st team (Evina/alonso etc) were playing here simply beause they're not match fit. They are also playing in a scratch team, a line-up you won't see repeated all season, made of youth and reserve players with a trialist thrown in for good measure.
Carsharlton on the other hand probably played their 1st team that have been training all summer together and are all ready for the season to start.
This was always just an extra game to help those who are behind on match fitness.
I thought Alonso showed some good touches and range of passes , he put the ball through for Raziek 's penalty i think? i hope he's not out injured for too long , as he took a heck of a clout and was rolling around in agony , & then hobbled off the pitch.
This was a development squad game - as evidenced by 7 of the squad augmented by 5 academy players with only 3 senior professionals (2 of whom have barely kicked a ball in anger) and 1 admittedly high profile trialist who not played since May.
Sometimes I really despair of peoples expectations
I'm in Croydon - play golf at Oaks Park quite a bit. There are some Addicks in enemy territory!
Ha! Indeed! My house backs onto Oaks Park, probably got a few of your golf balls in my garden...
LOL. If you back onto the twelth (that par 3 that you hit over a valley) then you could well have at least one - a few weeks back it was blowing a gale so I took a 5W off the tee thinking the wind would hold it up - unfortunately it didn't, and I spanked it straight over the green, over the rough and over the fence into someone's back garden

Sorry Grapevine - my expectations are............that we play better than we did against a Ryman League team! Simple things like accurate passing and strong defending didn't really happen. I would love to make excuses for them, but I can't. Can't see CP being happy with that performance - maybe his expectations are similar to mine! Anyway, 2.0 win on Saturday!
It's not that surprising really. Warren and Davisson were on loan in the Ryman league last season. Ajayi, Cousins and Harriott are younger. Popo's never gone out on loan but if he does it'll be around that level. Then you have Mambo who's a bit more experienced but still nowhere near the first team.
The rest are trying to get fit. If they had been thrashed I'd be worried but it sounds like we had some chances that we just didn't take.

Better to make it now than when it really matters.

By the way, Alonso looked pants before going off hurt.
Doesn't sound like we did very well although Rasiak seemed involved, mikel went off injured and Sullivan was at fault for the first goal.
Very makeshift team. v Bromley they had the experience of Euell, Doc and Francis who were all absent tonight.
Sullivan failed to deal with the cross for their first goal, it seems a real weak point in his game.
I was impressed with Alonso, spread the ball around well and likes the long ball. Hope his injury isn't too serious.
Rasiak did OK, won most of his headers and wouldn't be a bad signing IMO.
Evina showed only one glimpse of his attacking runs but otherwise didn't do much
