Carshalton Athletic v Charlton XI PSF 2 August 2011 News, views and Match Thread

This clash of the CAFC's seems almost an after thought squeezed between the Den Scum unfriendly and the real thing on Saturday v Bournemouth.

However it still gives an important run out to players who have not yet featured due to injury such as Evina and the artist formerly known as Alonso who we must now get used to calling Mikel.

The young pros and scholars gave a very good showing v Bromley with Azeez, Popo and Harriot all scoring and others, such a keeper Gough, giving good displays.

It's not clear if Jason Euell or French striker Alexis Honore are still training and/or on trial but if they are they may again play.

Otherwise it seems unlikely that any of the starting XI will feature so close the big KO but Francis, Docherty and Mambo may get game time.

Another promising flourish from the kids leading to an overlooked 3 - 1 win.

    You're right about the pubs Cuff, plenty to choose from there. Only one I've not been in is the Racehorse, is that any good?

    Polish hitman Rasiak is set to start at Colston Avenue, while the
    likes of John Sullivan, Cedric Evina, Yado Mambo, Ben Davisson and Mikel
    Alonso will also play some part.

    Jordan Cousins, who recently returned to Sparrows Lane following an
    extended break after his England U17 World Cup exploits in Mexico over
    the summer, is also included in the party, as are fellow youngsters Semi
    Ajayi, Callum Harriott, Adebayo Azeez, Joe Pigott, Bradley Jordan and
    Morgan Fox.

    First-year professionals Freddie Warren, Tosan Popo and Conor Gough make up the remainder of the squad.

    Admission to the game is £7 adults, £5 seniors and £1 U18s (with
    photo ID) and U16s, and tickets will be available from the stadium in
    advance of kick-off. An adult must accompany U16s.

    I suppose. Only played 10 minutes vs Millwall though so won't have played for a little while when hes suspension stops.
