[cite]Posted By: Danny Addick[/cite]
[cite]Posted By: Off_it[/cite]Anybody who would seriously suggest we get this man back after it took so long to get rid of him (and cost so much) is a complete moron.
Potential ability is one thing, but team spirit, attitude and application should trump it every time in the importance stakes. It's a team game after all.
Why is he at games if they aren't thinking of it though?
Maybe we're looking to sign him. Maybe he's come to see "what might have been". Maybe he's got nothing else to do. MAybe he's come along to pick up a cheque. Maybe he's absolutely f**king mental. Who knows.

I have to admit if Moutuakil is a high maintenance kind of player (good but with major temperament/personality issues) then I have serious doubts that Powell is up to managing that kind of thing- not because he's a bad manager, but because he's inexperienced. I know he's experienced as a player and was the PFA chairman but acutally having to man-manage day in, day out is a totally different proposition, and Moutuakil seems to be the precise opposite to Powell mentality-wise.
Went to see this game today, impressed by Pompey's vocal support and overall performance. They saved an early penalty, scored their first chance then defended resouteley, admittidly riding their luck on a few occasions. Patrick Agyemang scored a deserved goal with a header after he had played well all 2nd half.
On the ex-cafc watch, I thought Moutouakil looked decent, solid at the back, a couple of decent forays into the Coventry half. Therry Racon was his same old self, a few nice touches but ultimately ineffective and lost possession too easily.
Sam Sodje was an unused sub for Pompey and no sign of Leon Clarke for Cov, who were blunt overall.
Not to mention Pompey's superb broken seat replacement service eh @wwaddickson ! And Patrick Agyemang is my new cult hero after today! What a performance from the big man. And I won a tenner. Great day out!
It is always embarrassing when these two year old threads get resurrected. Not sure any of the original contributors coverred themselves in much glory.

I think he's mates with Racon & possibly Semedo.
Carl Leaburn's dad worked at Lewisham station. I think.

BTW, Pompey's home support was excellent.
