100% correct. It was all about who could stuff more money in the FIFA delegates pockets. We are too honest for our own good and will probably never get the world cup again as long as crooks like Jack Warner and Seppt Blatter are around. One good thing is that these leeches will be long dead by the time we come to bid again , sadly , so will many English fans who never got the chance to see a world cup in their own country.
i've seen the videos and presentation and thought we came across as very arrogant and wouldn't really benefit from the world cup as we already have the EPL, unlike the Russia bid.

On HIGNFY last night that geordie 'comedienne' said that in practising his speech Beckham read 'DNA' as 'dinner'.
Didn't think our presentation was as good as it was made out. Sounded a bit smug and pc, which might play well here but not elsewhere. Though it was better than the Ruskis motherland/give it to us or else type message$€$. Their presentation sounded in parts like an old soviet style we will invade unless you give it to us, format.
