I think people should bear in mind that Saturday was backed up by tomorrow as far as clearing the barrels was concerned, tomorrow is backed by next Saturday. When we don't have another home game within the week is when problems will arise in terms of wastage. Fortunately the Upper lasted to half time or I would have missed out. I shall endeavour to increase my intake tomorrow!
Now that the club are getting an idea of the demand, they should be able to ensure that there isn't any wastage - i.e. plan to sell out every game. That way it doesn't matter if we don't have a game for a couple of weeks.
I had two lovely pints in the north upper. Only criticism is that the staff didn't know it was there & when i asked for it they looked at me like i'd asked for blood!!!!
Still, they soon got the hang of it.
Cheers for doing this. Can't wait for more tomorrow :-D
For information - the real ale once again sold out last night. It will be available again on Saturday in the same places - Bartrams & the upper & lower north. It will also be available in the east & west stands, again on a trial basis for the Walsall game.
For the real ale lovers in the West & East stands - the trial will be extended to the lower west in kiosk 8 (the big one) and the east in kiosk 4 (at the south east end of the concourse) it will also still be available in the upper & lower north plus Bartrams - enjoy!
Garfield, if i could offer any feedback it would be from what i saw on the previous games, the signage advertising this could have been a bit more bolder and clearer. There were a few A4 sheets around the kiosk with small writing, but those sheets wouldn't have really of been noticed until after people had ordered what they wanted. Unless people read about it on here or on the OS in advance, i'm not sure they would be aware.
The guy on the door of Bartrams wasn't aware of Real Ale on sale.
I couldn't remember whether it was on sale in the Covered End, Bartrams or both (being a senile old git) and asked the guy on the door of Bartrams who said he didn't know.
As it happened I was meeting somebody inside Bartrams so went in anyway and discovered for myself the Real Ale was on sale. The thought occurs though that some people might have asked as I did and, having received an inconclusive answer, nipped to a pub instead.
Just my humble opinion but it might be sensible to brief the door staff.
Thanks for the feed back - i am aware of the signage issue we can only produce to A4 on site - and i have been waiting for some larger POS to come from Courage for the best part of a month now! It will be on the OS prior to the game. Once again thanks for the feedback and Len the door staff will be aware on Sunday!

It'll also give us something else to moan about -when it runs out, that and the price
Only downsides were a plastic glass and £3.30 a pint neither of which can be helped I suppose.
I'll visit Bartrams again if they continue it.
Still, they soon got the hang of it.

£3.10 for a pint of Doombar. Lovely stuff.

Now, will real ale ice cubes be available?
Also not everyone comes on CL so not all will know.

First point of contact and all that marketing nonsense.
Just a personal opinion which can (and probably will) be ignored.
