[cite]Posted By: AshTray[/cite]Waste of time. Everyone knows that those in the north stand (which I still called the Covered End, by the way; call me old fashioned) drink lager.
All of them - even the kids?
They drink smuggled in cans of fosters where I sit - well, when they're not thrown out by the stewards first!

Yes, I think this is a good move - would like to see some variety with the food- could do sweet and sour chicken and chicken balti. Reckon with that and the prices tuned down slightly the club could make more money from catering.
I hope someone from the club has bought BexleyDan a free pint.
Good work fella. Looking forward to my first one on Boxing Day, if they can manage to keep enough going for half time. Normally I never bother with anything, what's the point of queuing the whole half time on a freezing day for a bloody Fosters?
At Czech games, they have the ideal cold weather half time drink: Grog. Tea laced with rum....

went to see sparta play mlada boleslav a few years back in november, absolutely freezing but for entry, a decent pint of lager you can drink in your seat and a bramborak all for just a few quid was a bargain (match wasn't bad either)

You had a bramborak, and are still with us? :-)
Of course as soon as UEFA or FIFA come to town that all goes out the window. A mate of mine, (a Spanner), was dragged to the Czech v Scotland game with his colleague from Aberdeen. I was sick so I got out of it. Spanner hated every second, but the worst thing was, there was only Birrell (non-alcoholic) to drink...
For information - the real ale trial was a great success it sold out in all the locations it was put into. It will be offered in the same three locations for tomorrow nights game - if it once again proves a success the club will extend the trial to the east & west stands for the Walsall game. Well done to all those who supported the initiative.
[cite]Posted By: cfgs[/cite]Had three pints in the north lower and it sold out prior to the game, please can the club repeat this and get in a tad more next time
I had a few pints in the north upper - i was a bit concerned because it wasn't very well advertised - just an A4 piece of paper you wouldn't really have noticed, particularly with the John Smiths still there but anyway, sounds as though it sold well and agreed, not the greatest pint ever but certainly not bad and a great improvement. Maybe a Courage Best sign on the barrels or something would help? Maybe they can rotate / try different beers - have Courage Best as standard and try a different ale alongside each game. That's what most pubs do - keep a standrad 'session' beer like Courage best and rotate the other - just an idea.

So, when you said "those in the north stand ... drink lager" you were making ut up?

Don't forget to buy a pint today to help make this a success !!
Wish I could but I'm in the "wrong" stand.
Nice to see they sold out in the north upper as well!
Looked very popular to me!......
Yes it was, I read it out on Tuesday night.
Yup. Nice pint as well.
Had 2 at half time. Not the best pint ever but certainly no where near the worst.
Seemed to be alot ordering it upstairs in the Covered end.
Vodka and redbulls allround!
