  • Elliot - 7 Sound
Francis - 7 Nice assist but otherwise would prefer Solly at present.
    Dailly - 6 Not a great challenge when you're on a yellow.
Doherty - 7.5 How far can he head the ball?
    Jackson - 7 Steady enough
Wagstaff - 8 Match winner. Must admit I would have taken him off instead of Reid. Well played Scott.
Racon - 6.5 Used to be a big fan but even down at this level he's not shining bright enough.
McCormack - 8 Box to box involvement. A star in the making
Reid - 7 Not up to last weeks dizzy heights but if he played like that every week he'd be playing at a higher level.
Martin - 8 Lively and skillfull. Perfect foil for Abbott
Abbott - 8 I'm liking this guy. Everything a striker should be at this level.
Llera - 7 Done what was asked of him.

Solly - Big pat on the back. Take a bow son!

  • Elliot - 6 should have done better for their goal
Francis - 7 quality cross for mccormacks noggin
Dailly - 6 solid but two stupid bookings
Doherty - 9 solid and kept the defence together after dailly went
Jackson - 7 blocked almost every cross in from the right but didn't do much closing down
Wagstaff - 10! Really stepped up when he needed to. Perfect goal and super set up for solly
Racon - 7 quality defensively did lose the ball a couple of times though

Martin - 9.5 he was immense second only to Waggy

    Llera - 7 solid
  • Elliot - 7 mixed bag, poor distribution

Dailly - 6 should know better
Doherty - 8.5 just what we needed in defence. Great game

    McCormack - 7.5 nice header
    Reid - 6 disappointing
Martin - 8.5 MOTM brillliant. Great awareness, linked up with Abott well and ran his heart out.

Llera -7.5 Seemed to get his head on every ball

Elliot -6 Kicking wasn't great, but handling was good.
    Francis-7 Good assist, relatively solid
Daily-6 I thought the first booking was unfortunate, but should have known better for the second.
Doherty-9 Really good performance, brilliant heading away and stunning block in the second half.
    Jackson-7 Relatively solid
Waaaagstaff-9 Told my mate...watch him play this in the corner....and he goes and skins the defender and gives Solly a touch
Racon-6.5 Lost the ball a bit too much for me personally outshone by
McCormack-9 Thought he performed both Semedo and Racons roles today by himself
Reid-6.5 A lot of criticism comes Parky's way for tactical incompetence. Pleased he kept waggy on, typical wingers display on a bad day.
Martin-9 Big things to come from him and Abbot, the link player that we missed last season.
Abbot-8 Needed a CF like this last year too
Llera -9 Best performance from him I've seen.

  • Elliot - 6. Didn't have much to do, thought could have done more with the goal, poor kicking
Francis - 7. Looked rusty first half, cracking ball for the goal though which boosts his mark
Dailly - 5. As captain and with his age I thought he'd know better than to lunge in like he did for the second yellow. Still slightly harsh imo.
Doherty - 7. Solid all night, except for the goal though be a little too harsh on him. Was immense when we went down to 10
Jackson - 6. Fairly anonymous to be honest. Probably means he did his job well though.
Wagstaff - 9. Thought he had been fairly quiet, goal apart, until the third. Before then, in time honoured FM fashion "he got a goal, so fair play to the lad". But what a goal and assist for the third. If he plays like that for the rest of the season, where he's fairly quiet for 88 minutes but pops up to make a massive impact, I'll be very happy
Racon - 8. Solid, very disciplined, didn't do anything silly like he has done in the past
McCormack - 9. Great header, but his all round game was superb. Ruffled a few feathers which is what you need in this league, and showed some real leadership and character, especially after Dailly went. Keeps passing simple too. Based on tonight and last Saturday, I haven't been this impressed with a new signing for years.
Reid - 6. Quiet, but he will have quiet games. Just as well other players stepped up to the plate.
Martin - 8. Nice touches, put a shift in. Impressed so far
Abbott - 8. Great target man, you only have to compare how he did to Akpo when he came on.
Llera - 8. Solid, shored up defence. Headed everything

  • Elliot -6- kicking atrocious, otherwise sound
Francis -7.5- looked pretty solid apart from one error at the start, good cross for the goal
Dailly -8- looked solid until sending off
Doherty -7.5- some heroic defending, but got seriously caught out for their goal IMO
Jackson -7.5- again, didnt put a foot wrong.
Wagstaff -8- annonymous at times (being harsh though), visibly lifted after his goal. great finish, good assist. just learn to replicate it!!
Racon -7.5- one of his best games in a charlton shirt IMO. much more involved than usual. key blocks, key passes, nice stuff
McCormack -8- heroic blocks, didnt put a foot wrong, great run to ghost into the box unnoticed. comparisons with bailey starting to look accurate
Reid -6- unlucky to be the one sacraficed, pretty annonymous. the last 2 league games sum up reid perfectly. amazing one game, barely notice him the next
Martin -8.5- MOTM-looked lively, always wanted the ball, good assist, excellent work rate, looks extremely classy. went some to (IMO) pip waggy to MOM
Abbott -7- good hold up play and nice first touch. won the key flick in waggy's goal and played a big part in the 3rd goal. also grafted well
Llera - 7.5- barely noticed him after he came on. (make no mistake, thats a good thing for a defender) key headers out of the box, showed what he is good at really

overall a terrific away performance and a masterclass in how to defend deep and narrow, then spring on the counter. that is basically the blueprint for how to play with 10 men, and one of the best performances i have seen a charlton side put in in recent years

  • Elliot - 6.5 - Handling good. Kicking pretty poor
Francis - 6 - Didnt impress. Looked shakey. Hopefully down to fitness & lack of football
Dailly - 7 - Didnt put a foot wrong until sending off. Cant dive in like that on a yellow
Doherty - 7.5 - Brilliant in the air & held the defence together when daily went
Jackson - 7 - Done what his asked to do. Got forward well
Wagstaff - 8.5 - Top drawer goal. Could have gone down when in the box. Quality ball for solly
Racon - 6.5 - Not one of his best games
McCormack - 7.5 - A real grafter. Never gives up. Always there to stick up for his team mates. Liking him
Reid - 7 - Not as effective as he was against bournemouth but he done alright
Martin - 8.5 - Just pure class. Didnt stop running. Always wants the ball & very clever on it.
Abbott - 9 - May think im mad but his my man of the match. Held the ball up brilliantly. A real battler. Ran himself into the ground
Llera - 8 - Im not his biggest fan but he done me proud when he came on. Won everything in the air. Him & elliot need to start talking though.
  • From the comfort of my boardroom at work, on a 65" plasma in glorious hi-def, I had a better view than I would have done if I'd been able to get to the game :o)

Elliot - 6.5 - Solid, a couple of good reaction saves and came to collect well, but kicking was again woeful
Francis - 6.5 - Thought he was OK - great cross for McCormack's goal and solid - but don't see what he offers that Solly doesn't. Very early days of course.
Dailly - 6 - Both bookings were bloody stupid - form a player who should (and does) know better.
Doherty - 7 - Pretty good all game, outstanding in the air, but caught out by the goal and should have done better
Jackson - 6 - Didn't do anything wrong... but didn't seem to do much at all, tbh
Wagstaff - 8 - Awesome goal, and the run and cross for Solly's goal was different class too. Great performance
Racon - 7.5 - Can't understand the stick he's taken - I thought he was great tonight. Not in Semedo's league, but still a nice, solid, composed shift
McCormack - 8.5 - MOM for me. Thought he put himself about all game, aggressive without coming near getting a booking. Really like him.
Reid - 6.5 - Not at his best, but doesn't shirk the defensive side of his game - which is going to be useful going away to better teams than Orient
Martin - 8 - Livewire. Lovely touch in the build-up to Waggy's goal. Has a lot of skill and, provided he stays injury-free, will be the best bit of business Parky has done
Abbott - 8 - Excellent. A real pain in the arse to deal with. First touch not the best, but lovely close control for a big lump. Think him and Martin will be great together
Llera - 8 - Fair play. Superb when thrown straight into the mix. Orient should have realised within ten minutes of him coming on that they weren't going to get any joy out of humping the ball into the box.

Special mention for Solly... GET IN THERE!

Elliot -7.5, good commanding game, couple of decent saves. granted his kicking isn't the greatest sometimes but i think a great no1 for this league
Francis - 7.5, defended well and got forward nice addition to the squad
Dailly -5. mainly due to 2 silly yellows, thought both were bit harsh but didn't think he did much when he was on at least not as commanding as he is usually
Doherty - 8.5, awesome very unlucky with there goal as the ball bounced up, other then that was a rock got on the end of everything. defence looks very solid at mo
Jackson - 7.5, good defensive performance again but doesn't seem to get forward enough
Wagstaff - 8, much better game scotty, not just a peach of a goal but took it past people with ease and didn't do alot wrong also assist
Racon - 7.5, worked bloody hard, got back alot and done a good job
McCormack 7.5- Same as Racon, great signing so far very similar to nicky bailey
Reid - 7, was a bit quiet but got back when he needed to, still think would have been a useful outlet when we had 10 men
Martin - 7, very skillfull but does hold onto the ball too long sometimes, he is going to get fouled 3 + every week so needs to keep his chin up, nice assist
Abbott - 7 for effort alone chases back and forward, lacks a bit of pace but good target man and looks another good signing
Llera - 7 did what he needed to do when he come on, good back up to dailly & doc

Sodje- 5 , Sorry feel need to mark but completely different to last weeks performance come on and played as if he had played the 80minutes before, didn't track back once and abbott did right to the end. Didn't win a header, control was poor. it seems to me he will be the hero one week when we dont expect it and when we do he will then become the villain just as quick. back to bournmouth performance please!

Overall we were in control up until the sending of, then had to withstand some heavy pressure but coped well and a couple of nice counters to seal the deal
Very pleased with our defence at the moment, only additions needed up front imo, everyones playing for each other so keep it up boys 10 men in both games and still won both that says alot for their character

    UP THE ADDICKS!!!
