J Block Twats......followed by tedious debate about swearing

  • This is the problem. We *do* have more (vocal?) morons than many grounds imo, such as the fact that it's hard to get a big chorus of Charlton Supporting stuff for any length of time, but anything like "The ***** family" "the referee's a w**ker" and amarillio (in recent years anyway) as soon as these songs start, there's a huge amount joining in, who don't seem to on even VFR or songs getting behind the team.

I really do feel we must come across like dumb pikies with chips on our shoulders at times.

The irony of the incest song is not lost on me at least...
  • [cite]Posted By: kingston[/cite]Why don't you fuck off, and play with millwall people,. Why are you so obsessed with a Charlton fans site. And why rent a house in Sparrows Lane you daft wanker.

    How polite.

why would anyone start a new song ? when it has to be veted by the moral wedge?
    1) Is it really a Charlton song you know happy family -ish.
    2) Does it have any naughty words ? then of course it falls at point (1)
    3) Does it have any chance of offending anyone ? then it falls at point(1) and maybe point(2)
    4) Is if PC ? if yes then it passes point(1) and point (2)
    5) Then it has to be PC and veted.

the way forward is to form a song committee and vet songs. my new one is lalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalaalalalalalalalalalaal clap clap Charlton . If thats ok with everyone !

yes the incest song is cringing and boring but there are far to many people up themselves let alone family members for anyone to be arsed to start a new song.
  • Yes, I think the Adams family song should stay in the locker until we meet Pardew again!

I have a feeling though that the bright lads who chant the old and tired song may have worked out which word to replace in order to sing it again, against different opposition!

Sounds good. I think we should start it up at the next home match. I'll print off a few sheets and hand them out in the H and J Blocks
  • This thread is embarrassing.

I used to cringe watching those anti-swear videos on the big screen but, alas, the video is totally accurate and backed up by many comments on here.

    Fools!
  • Or we could just bang a drum and la la la with it monotinously a la Stevenage last night. Jaaasus, i had to switch it off it was more annoying than the pompey bell guy!!!!!
  • This thread is turning into the episode of family guy when peter starts his own tv channel and he gets censored everywhere he goes.

"What.. I can't say f**k in my own f**king house.."

Next on fox its the dick van **** show...

I swear at football, and have used the c word at times, not big or clever but I have shouted it a few times. I think maybe because of my 18 month old son at home I've had to curb my language that for 90mins on a Saturday I can let rip without fear of a slap from the mrs. If someone was sat behind me for 90mins and non stop swearing it would annoy me but wouldn't let it spoil my day. When adam jnr is old enough to come I probably will take him to the east or nwq then move back upstairs when he will be old enough stand what's going on so when he's about 10 or 11 I reckon.

I'm going to Germany soon to watch a couple of the Hamburg teams, namely St. Pauli, a rather different experience to The Valley and I won't want to come back! The Germans know how to do football properly, I wouldn't advise most people in this thread to go though...
  • Been asked/advised not to say my piece cause of alcohol/anger/etc.
Would like to say that the idiots in (again I'm guestimating) Row FF/GG, seats 135/140 J block put a dampner on alot of peoples day.
    Paul.
  • That lot in row ff/GG are the reason we have not been for several games...

Wont be sitting near that bunch of .... ever again, they either moan or talk shit all the way through the game...
  • You should try sitting in the East Stand, block F, row K...............I had a stand up row today with the bloke next to me. No swearing but all he does is moan and shot "rubbish" or "your useless" to ALL the players.............I snapped today at the end when it was (again) directed at Chris Solly !!!

the bloke is a grade 1 ******* and just hope he doesn't renew his season ticket - can't see why he would want to 'cause he must hate going every game !

I would Never sit in the East Stand: (Sir) Henry is in there !!

(sorry, making light of a serious problem with got with "idiots"(IMO) at The Valley).

Plenty of spare seats at present. Take your pick..
  • I must say in one of the last games we went (Peterborough at home) I moaned at McCormack for being useless and was told by one of the row gg moaners to support my team, that put the lid on it.

My dad who is an OAP (but 5 year season ticket holder) sits amongest all this and does not deserve the sort of nonsene he saw from parties on both side of the argument today.

to be honest it wasn't much of an arguement and there was no swearing/bad language/insults involved so not as if he were subjected to abuse etc. The other guy just NEVER praises the players at all. Blimey I even moan (yes, really I do, I know it's unbelievable) and I havn't an issue with comments such as 'C'mon Waggy pull yer finger out' for example if only it were followed when Waggy does something good by 'Well done Scott great cross' but it isn't it's moan, moan, moan. I really don't know why they bother, they can never enjoy it.
  • what seat do you sit in red buttle? im up in that area, although didnt go today

  • To all those rose tinted lovely people out there,

    How dare fans moan?!
I mean, who are they to spend money and then actually display some passion.

    Football these days....

Seriously though, people You need to get over it.
Fans can moan all they bloody well want, and calling them out on the internet makes you look silly.
If it is that much of a problem( which we all know, it really isn't) then why not move, or those in the J block in particular why not say something during the game like the poster did in the east stand?

We have surpassed the amount of ST's sold from this time last year, surely that says our fans aren't as bad or "idiotic" as people like to make out on here.
We are a well supported club at the end of the day. And all clubs fans will always disagree. Which then asks the question why is it SUCH a problem at Charlton?
Well it isn't. Its just a few on here digging out moaners for the sake of it , it's simply pathetic, as you can't accept their views, or more to the point, you childishly refuse to respect any other views than rose tinted ones.
Nobody will ever, or should, ever have to have a positive outlook EVERY single week just because You want them to.
We have been dogshit since Powell came in, you have to expect it.

    Much love.

  • AND ANOTHER THING....

Chris Solly was absolute pony today.
    #justsaying
  • Swearing always has, currently is, and always will be part of the game.

For example, I would wager that 95% of those in the West Stand are certfiied tw@ts.
