[cite]Posted By: Henry Irving[/cite]Why have we gone to Lilleshall when we can practice shooting and play five-a-side at Sparrows Lane? : - )
Because it's nearer to Bedford's ground.
Anyway, it's cheaper than driving back to Charlton from Kettering - then back up to Bedford.
And it's not that accomodation has to be paid for - the squad is camping at Lllleshall, having borrowed tents from the
7th Greenwich Scouts.

perhaps Capello wants to run the rule over a couple of our players. Perhaps he wants a Heskey replacement. Someone tell him Akpo is Nigerian. Be ideal otherwise.

He was born in England, and I don't think he's been capped by Nigeria either!
It says on his 'Advert', on the PFA Free Transfer list, that he is a right midfielder. I wonder if Parky would've tried him there next, as Reid is now signed.
We would have possibly offered him a deal if it was not for the fact we got Reid on a free. Esajas seems to be a player with a fair amount of ability so maybe he will do well up there.
He'd had a run out for us for part of the Wimbledon and Welling friendlies.
And immediately after, demanded that Parky make a decision on offering him a contract there and then.
Evidently Parky doesn't negotiate with players who hold a gun to his head.
Parky told him he hadn't yet done enough to warrant the offer of a contract.
So the player left.

You can see the players point, Bauez stayed around, played around and still did not get a contract, so arguably wasted a few weeks he could have been impressing at other clubs, or you could argue he got him self fit, which is better with one club to do than bouncing from one club to another.

Rangers are unlikely to offer deals to any of the four trialists who played in a bounce match against Partick Thistle at Murray Park yesterday Another Dutch winger, Etienne Esajas, looked well off the pace, as did French midfielder Salim Kerkar and will not be pursued.
Typical winger. Fancy feet. Loses the ball. Scores the odd spectacular goal. Gifted but a confidence player but seemed to lack confidence when I spoke with him. We have a more consistent player in Reid (I hope).

Anyway, hopefully that frees up more cash for acquiring a goal machine! :)
We've already got one ....Akpo!
And Capello is looking for a replacement for Heskey..........
only 32 minutes too late Oggy.
Now on trial with Rangers
that'll be about the same level as league 1 / championship...;o)

where did you hear that oggy?
It was on BBC as well, but I can't find the link
Henry, it was in the South Lions Press and maybe the News Hopper.
Parky himself talking.

Sounds like this guy needs to get his act together.
Seems to believe he's better than he actually is.
I'm seeing a man with grey hair. I'm getting the letter E. The money's under the stairs.
