[cite]Posted By: LargeAddick[/cite]so our OS has now been beaten to the punch by both Boro's and Notts County's OS. It's okay for Henry to tell me it's not true until it's on the OS if the OS iS first with the news but when it isn't what do I do ? Do I now believe the Notts County OS or wait until it's on our OS. Bugger it, if it's on Footie Rumours it's true.
Be fair, Large.
Because of cutbacks, the Charlton OS staff don't start until 10 am.
And then they have to make coffee first, and check other club's websites for Charlton news.
oi, how can you quote something I never even said ;-)
[cite]Posted By: LargeAddick[/cite]so it's not confirmed that he is signing for us yet just that he's been released. I'll still wait until it's on the OS until I jump for joy.
But he's training with us Large, it must have gone through :-)
[cite]Posted By: Dizzle[/cite]Definately want Simeon now. ASAP. With Simeon up top i will be delighted with how things have gone
I doubt we'll get someone like Simeon Jackson. They'll want a decent fee for him. We probably aren't going to sign a striker under contract unless it's on loan, he's released or for a very small fee.
[quote][cite]Posted By: Swisdom[/cite][quote][cite]Posted By: stop shouting[/cite]Hope this doesn't turn into another Henry/Large/Golfie hair pulling threat.
Yes happy with this. I guess that he has primarily been signed as a left back though his versatility will probably prove me wrong.[/quote]
I think you might be wrong there - I'd suggest as a CM / LM.[/quote]
Yeah you're probably right. I'm hoping that if it's as a LM then it isn't at the expense of Reid though. If it's a CM then I imagine Racon off & if LB then one of Basey or Youga won't be here next season.
Jackson won't be left back, surely we have youga there. can see him being on the left, with mccormack racon and semedo our centre midfield options. we still need a right back, a right / left winger and a forward desperately to be able to string together a decent looking first 11.
Id be happy with a small fee and Izale Mcleod in the other direction for Simeon Jackson.
I know we dont have much, but im sure out of the million or so received yesterday a tiny fraction can be spared on what our chief scout said was our top priority, a goalscorer.
I have read Jacksons Wiki and he grew up in Croydon. Plays for the Gills so it wont really be a new location move. Same for Dizzy.
I think a couple of strikers on a free will be more likely, and they probably won't be as proven as we'd hope. John O'Flynn at Barnet is making a decision early next week on his future, so he might be one.
[cite]Posted By: Plaaayer[/cite]If Ohhaahh rates him, I like him!
i don't rate him ;-( i think he is ok for this level and an improvement on some of the tosh we already have ... would have preferred kyle reid , a match winner , someone who can do something a bit special but the new JJ is us heading in the right direction!
Finally some good news get in. If we can get Lee Trundle, Kyel Reid and possibly one more attacking midfielder or striker then theres hope for promotion but at least we have a decent player with a bit of versatility

Ha, Ha, good on you mucker. Two days earlier we had the dark depths of despair, now we're going up, made me chuckle!
3 or 4 more players of the standard we have signed this week and I might start singing it with you!
looking promising - but nothing's certain yet.

You mean, it could all be Jackson Pollocks .....?
I am feeling optimistic for this season.
Starting to see the makings of a more solid looking team here : Note use of the word 'team' not stars-in-their-eyes players - cool!

Maybe its just wishful thinking :(
Is Youga fit?

They first need to break the bad news of Semedo signing for Millwall today.
And then 20 minutes later, the Jackson story will be released as Hot News ..... to cheer us all up.
not remotely funny.
Henry have a word with AFKA he should know better than to say confirmed before its on our site
Booooooooooooooooooooooo
dont forget a keeper to back Rob
Lol, should have known.
