  • not on the OS yet. Henry will be after you!
  • Yesssssssssssssssssssssssss
  • Good signing as well as being able to cover three positions, very useful.
  • Get his brother simeon now and we will be top 6.. ;-) just hope he plays in midfield where he is happiest and we havnt signed him as a left back.
  • Can be a very good player at this level, but has somewhat lost his way of late. Parky got the best out of him at Colchester, so here's hoping!
  • Brilliant signing. If we can get Reid as well I'll be well happy. All that creativity for our one and only forward....Akpo.
  • AWOOOOOGA.

    Hope he stays fit.
  • Definitely one of the better loans we have had. Now for Reid....

if true, Parky's doing well ... makes up for loss of Richardson (as did £400k)
  • Good news.

  • Fantastic news.
  • As I said on the other thread - versatile and a potentially good playmaker.

Excellent signing. importantly it's one the fans all seem to agree on too
  • Sorry, won't beilieve it until it's on the OS.
  • Hope this doesn't turn into another Henry/Large/Golfie hair pulling threat.

Yes happy with this. I guess that he has primarily been signed as a left back though his versatility will probably prove me wrong.

It's on the Notts County OS.
It's only true when it's on the Notts County OS. Right, Henry? :o)

Notts County can confirm that midfielder Johnnie Jackson has been allowed to leave Meadow Lane due to personal reasons.

Jackson made 30 appearances for the club last season, scoring three goals and whilst he had been keen to keep hold of the midfielder, Manager Craig Short understood the player's reasons for wanting to leave.

"When a player is away from his wife and young child it can be very hard and sometimes you have to evaluate what is important in life," said Short.

"I completely understand and support Johnnie's decision, family comes first as I'm sure our fans can appreciate and whilst I was looking forward to working with Johnnie this season, he leaves with my blessing and support."
  • Miffometer has just swung back to happy.
  • Where have you seen that he has definitely signed for us AFKA?

Notts Co OS confirms he's left them, but doesn't say he's signed for anyone yet. So assuming we get him it should be a free transfer.

Edit: Oggy beat me to it.

I'd say he's been signed as a midfielder, and at the moment, left midfield.

But it does not say where to though does it

  • SLP say it will be announced later today.
  • Definately want Simeon now. ASAP. With Simeon up top i will be delighted with how things have gone
  • We must almost have enough players now to field a starting XI against AFC Wimbledon on SAturday .....?
  • SLP probably just got it from here and guessing

so it's not confirmed that he is signing for us yet just that he's been released. I'll still wait until it's on the OS until I jump for joy.
  • [cite]Posted By: cfgs[/cite]But it does not say where to though does it?

Ah, they're not allowed to say yet.

That's because Henry has already told Notts County, that it's only true when it appears on the Charlton OS.
  • And now you're gonna' believe us
    The Reds are Going Up.........
  • Whopeeee!
  • [cite]Posted By: LargeAddick[/cite]so our OS has now been beaten to the punch by both Boro's and Notts County's OS. It's okay for Henry to tell me it's not true until it's on the OS if the OS iS first with the news but when it isn't what do I do ? Do I now believe the Notts County OS or wait until it's on our OS. Bugger it, if it's on Footie Rumours it's true.

    Be fair, Large.

Because of cutbacks, the Charlton OS staff don't start until 10 am.

And then they have to make coffee first, and check other club's websites for Charlton news.
  • Notts County OS does not say he has joined Charlton, merely that he has left County.

Presumably talks are on going ...
