[cite]Posted By: Exiled_Addick[/cite]My head tells me 4 or maybe even 5 and I think that's what I need to prepare myself for to avoid too much dissapointment, but I hope we can still squeak a play-off place but, if we do, it'll be 5th or 6th and probably a good few points away from the top 2, but once you're in that knock-out who knows what might happen.
Tbh, I think the only realistic goal we should set ourselves is to do no worse than stay in League 1. I hope we still do better than that, but I don't think it would be reasonable toexpectanymore than that.
pretty much how I feel (but saved me typing it all)
Not all will agree on here, but I think Parky started to mould his team and style of play last season and to pretty good effect - a couple of penalty swings and we could have been at Wembley......
I think him being pushed against a wall somewhat through losing a couple of his better players and having less budget will have him fighting for us harder and demanding more from whoever he brings in than ever.
It's squad size that may hinder us, but subject to a pretty healthy bill of fitness health next season, I reckon we can make 2 and if Wednesday in particular struggle to come to terms with the drop, we may even sneak 1. I think Southampton should walk it, but they will be the scalp along with Wednesday this season and that may work against them a bit.
Buaza and one striker who does the business (15+), assisted by 10+ from Akpo and we'll be there or there abouts, particularly as I think we will see a bigger number of x -0s than last year.
3 for me. I think we will have a decent enough side:
GK - Elliot RB - Solly (weak point) - we need somebody here LB - Youga / Jackson CB - Doherty CB - Dailly RW - Wagstaff (weak point) - need somebody here LW - Reid / Jackson CM - Semedo CM - Racon / Mccormack CF - Sodje (weak point - need other options here) CF - Bauza??
On that basis IMO I think we are only 2-3 players away from having a decent 11 which would definitely be good enough for top 6, especially judging from the overall poor quality of the league which we saw last season, and the fact that the division will be weaker this season. However, the big concern is depth - as some people have pointed out, 3 injuries and all of a sudden our team could be cut apart...
I say every year we are going to win the league and in my 20+ years of supporting charlton we have done it once. I Have a feeling we are going to be victorious come May

only another 5 weeks to the start of the season. hopefully we can do a real one then.
.........nurse!!
champions and taken-over by trillionaires
Obv.
So, on that basis, 1!
Starting to feel a lot more optimistic
Maybe 1 if Wednesday don't shape up.

All that said, I am definitely 'glass half full'.
still 4 players atleast short of being strong enough to compete over a whole season and still no real striker on board
GK - Elliot
RB - Solly (weak point) - we need somebody here
LB - Youga / Jackson
CB - Doherty
CB - Dailly
RW - Wagstaff (weak point) - need somebody here
LW - Reid / Jackson
