[cite]Posted By: oohaahmortimer[/cite]i thought sam sodje was going to lose it a bit in the first half, when he was jumping for the ball he caught becchio a couple of times and boy did that fella dramatise it all and miraculously recover once sodje had been booked
Would they have played together at Leeds last season?
len i think they would have played together at leeds and after sodje was booked becchio came over and they had a low five , so they seemed ok with each other
Con Club showed the whole game live on the big screen and my mate in there sent me a text when he missed it....apparently it looks alot worse on the TV !
Will think properly about analysing the match when I stop drinking on Monday, but for now, I'm about to sway into the kebab shop I last went in after millwall away. That day I sat in the corner waiting with my head in my hands. Tonight I'll be standing there wanting to do the bouncy !
For all the shite Charlton put you through, sometimes they make it feel worthwhile.
Just got back and must say you probably just deserved it on the second half performance, can't see you slipping up against the pikeys in the playoffs if you keep that standard up. Leeds will win against Bristol next Saturday and even the most leeds hating Charlton and pikey must believe thats going to happen as well, will probably pay a visit to the site next Sunday when i have sobered up to wish you all the best in the lottery thats the playoffs and in the words of the great Vinny Jones its been emotional.

they will be if they ain't 1-0 up inside the first 20 mins
still think we lack support from midfield, we just don't have players breaking into the box, looked better when reid came on and bailey went in the middle.Semedo and Dailly were first class and I still can't believe Randolph's save.Well you never know we can all live in hope.
great game, great performance. No one seems to have remebered the save Randolph made early in the first half when Sam Sodje made a complete hash of things. Probably more important than the much later one. And to think Parky was happy for Randolph to leave last summer and in January. Good that we have such good young keepers on our books. Thought Dailly and Semedo were immense, Richardson too. Nice to hear/see him get such a good reception from the Leeds fans even at the end of the game, that's rare and nice to see. Credit to Parky for the triple subs although I wasn't thinking that when first Bailey and then Sam took knocks late on. Sometimes you have to gamble though, shame he didn't do so earlier in the season in some other games. We still have a slim chance next week but although Leeds are under enormous pressure I expect them to get at least the point that will keep us at bay but could let Millwall or Swindon in. Got a couple of little moans about today but that isn't for now. A very happy Saturday night indeed. Oh, thought the ref did well. Whoever earlier in the thread said Naylor should have gone for deliberate handball is wrong, at leat one maybe two covering defenders.

Must admit this afternoons proceedings reminded me of just how bloody wonderful football can be - Great stuff. As for next week, the pressure is well and truly on Leeds, I suppose if they slip up it's too much to ask for a draw dahn in SE14, accompanied by you-know-what at Boundary Park. BUT there have been some strange last days of the season in the past so who knows. Probably means Huddersfield will sneak in .....
[cite]Posted By: rhinosvalley[/cite]today gave me the answer I have been waiting so so long to hear on why i should be so proud and want to be a Charlton fan. All on that pitch answered the questions. Wont go down the route of -" well if they did it today then why not the rest of the season".blah.blah. Cant/Wont look back as nothing will ever change. BUT today showed what a 12th man CAN influence as I thought the atmosphere spered the team on when it just looked like they were tiring and thinking it aint going to be our day. Cant fault anyone today - and actually for the first time gave me belief that in the last two matches against Leeds and Norwich - we can compete and fight and Play against anyone in this league and WE can fight and show spirit.
Not felt this urge of enthusiasim and belif that this team can acutally produce the goods and the quality/quantity from a Charlton side for a long long time.....Hope the support can carry that belief in them via the playoffs as I think our support carried us through and got us that result...
Job not done yet - but well done Parky, well done players and well done fans.....lets unite and support together and now believe in something I lost a few weeks ago and start putting the pride back into Charlton and being a Charlton fan.....(not saying I never was but today feel it with more energy and pride.....)
