  • Shared a couple of beers at lunch with a Palace fan, he is really not keen on sharing with us, he wants to share at the generic stadium which is the toolbox.
  • What stonemuse said.
  • Had a good chat with a Palar5e fan today. Jeez he's down. Says if they go down then the potential buyers will get them cheaper but will mean less likely they'll get the ground too. He reckons there's only enough money to last til the end of April. Dark times for them. But when he asked what my s/t number was so he could have my seat, i told him to get stuffed. How very dare he!!!!!!

Better the stripey nigel you know...
  • I'm with addicted on this one. Let the Nigels hire our pitch for a minimal sum until they get back on their feet again. We take the moral high ground, plus they might return the favour for us one day if we implode. I think the hammers did something similar for us didn't they?
They can sell their mechandise in portocabins. No CPFC signs or eagles on the stand, keep it low key. They will want out asp anyway. Poor sods.

Sorry Wolf old son...so many inacuraces in your post, I don't know where to start....incidently, no, West Ham didn't do the same for us....as friendly and helpfull as they were, compaired to Palarse that is, it was still first and foremost a financial arrangement.
  • Had a quick glance but has nobody thought about only having 3000 tickets at the Valley and sitting in the Jimmy Seed if they are the 'home' team?
  • Sure, let them ground-share - they can use the training ground
  • From the Palace OS

"Press reports which have circulated at the weekend suggesting property developers are working with Sainsbury's and that the club are considering ground sharing are in Brendan Guilfoyle's view 'wide of the mark'.

Brendan told the official website " Croydon Council have been very clear that there is no immediate prospect of an alternative use for Selhurst Park and there have been no discussions on ground sharing with rival clubs by anyone at Crystal Palace Football Club"

Brendan remains confident that with the help of CPFC 2010 and PWC he can save the club."
  • I take it CPFC 2010 spokesman David Jensen quoted in the SLP report is the ex-Radio 1/Capital DJ and Palace fan?

  • [cite]Posted By: Henry Irving[/cite]i believe we can have as many football events as we like but there is a limit of 6 non footie events.

But i could be terribly wrong.

You must be, I've seen several non football events at The Valley over the last 4 seasons!
  • I think TCE made the same joke a few days ago ; - )

Didn't quite have the same delivery as mine though!!
  • [cite]Posted By: Addickted[/cite]Nothing to worry about Brendan

The amazing thing listening to that all over again after all these years, is that he actually seemed to believe what he was saying...he'd actually kidded himself it was true and therefore had no difficulty what-so-ever in convincing all and sundry that it was a done deal.
A really quite extraordinary bunch of BS from start to finish.....well he was found out eventualy of course...honestly, what a first class 'paper' hat he is!

Your not wrong Dave, I never could deliver a punchline.
Although one of my best was "Brenden O''Connell will achieve great things with Charlton" that raised a smile. ; )

I disagree that he believed what he was saying. I'm not a body language expert, but he was fidgeting around all the time and kept touching his nose and putting his hand in front of his mouth, which I believe are all sure signs of someone lying.
  • Whilst we're at it. Hindsight's a wonderful thing and all that but this seems to sum the bloke up nicely. What a truly odious man he is.

When people think of Palace, they think of me......yes...we'll...they will now Simon won't they.
  • I remember the days at shithurst and the way we were treated like 2nd class citizens, but as my own club here in Ireland went bellyup lately I'd hate to see it happen to any club even those tossers. So if we can help them out by charging minimum rent I'm all for it plus we can say that we saved them for a change

  • We would be the loudest ever if we were to play them away at the valley.
Finally the Jimmy Seed could be tested out for its atmosphere!
I wonder if the North stand would be heard?
    interesting.....

Just watched that link, the old adage about life mimicing art, mimicing life, mimicing art etc is summed up in those few minutes. I was waiting for Simes to say that he "wasn't like a boss, more a laid back entertainer" and for the rest of the staff from Wernham Hogg to be interviewed.
  • "When I leave the club it will be in a position where it doesn't need another Simon Jordan"

Too right it doesn't - it needs the paramedics!

The arrogance and front of that man is astonishing. And yet still our stripey Nigel fans don't like to have a bad word said about him. Weirdos.
  • If they are looking for somewhere to go I hear Brighton have got a nice new stadium.
  • What a strange man wearing a Miss Piggy wig.
  • That interview is absolutely incredible - delusions of grandeur? - slightly!

    Utter tool.

Money Quote: "Palace have moved on....OK, maybe not logisitically."

    Priceless, what a pr**k.
  • Hes sooo david brent....

    what a complete muppet....
  • First time I have seen that!!!

Jesus, I have a long held and deep rooted dislike for the orange 'back n front', I hate to agree with off it (no I really fecking hate agree with off it), but how ALL Palace fans cannot see what a bell end this man is, leaves me speechless.
  • I think the fidgeting and keep touching his nose is a sign of something other than lying..................
