Would not be happy at the idea, but given the parlous state of the clubs finances then a deal that would bring in £1-£1.5 million and cover the cost of running the ground could not be turned down. Though if I where Charlton I would want money up front and make it rolling contract that could be terminated at short notice. Maybe they would want to hire are training ground as well.

Rent on SP is £1.2m so I assume that they are looking for something a lot less than that.
But even £600 - 700k would be a boost to us and all for an asset that is otherwise sitting empty and the rough equivalent of selling another 1400 east stand adult STs.
Well, it depends whether they ground share or simply matchday/pitch share doesn't it.
If they ground share(all facilities that is and actually base themselves at The Valley etc etc), then we'd need to walk away with more the £1,000,000 wouldn't we.
Just the stadium for match days and the pitch....well that's a different deal of course.
Not sure though that the latter is practical or not?
F*** 'em. Greedy lot should've thought about this before they ripped us off. Any other team, no problem but never them lot...only if we could charge them a ridiculous amount of money that would put them into admin again. More importantly, how would this affect Choices' Name the Ground Competition?
As sorry as I am to see ANY football club in trouble I would never EVER agree to them stripey mugs sharing the Valley, not for any amount of money. Once a season when we are in the same league is enough for me. They are wronguns, pure n simple.
Someone mentioned sharing with the MK Dons.......not far enough away for me !
I'd be ok with them sharing.
If they really are to leave SP, they have to go somewhere (if they aren't being wound up).
There's only a few places that would be near enough to their spiritual home and fanbase so it may as well be us who get an input of much needed cash.
The only downside I can see is a knackered pitch.
How long before it's "Well both clubs are skint, maybe a merger? Be a force in premier league 2" I didn't stand in the rain outside Town hall's for this....
I'd love to be able to walk to an away game from my home.
I think I'd enjoy being a Charlton away fan at the Valley. It would seem strange but also a guaranteed biggest away crowd of the season, (we would have to arrange the selling of tickets from OUR box office!!)
If Palace came to The Valley it would be the only time in their pointless history that they have played in a decent stadium, though the eaglets seem to prefer the idea of the toolbox. I guess if they played at The Valley their lack of support would show more than in the stadium lite that is the toolbox, no wonder they would prefer to play there! I say they should beg Tooting and Mitcham to groundshare- it was after all Palaces training ground in the 80's. So as far as the glaziers go that would be achingly close to tradition. I wouldnt mind them sharing if they paid 750k a season though and were our nursery club with their world famous academy! ;o)
I'd try not to grumble about it constantly and the state of the pitch, but the money would do us the world of good if we don't manage to go up. Might force our hand a bit.

They would only need the West Lower any I suppose

Can't think of too many downsides, apart from the state of the pitch.

Be worth a dollar or two.
Don't be so hasty, Henry may be printing "Palace & Jordan Reunited" T-shirts if the latest rumours are true.
Who wants to join "They can **** right off Party"
All those in favour say "Aye"

Let them play the Crystal Palace athletics stadium.
That is a bloody fantastic idea. I'm all for that.
