  • They weren't really being attacked. I don't agree with the bottles/glasses being thrown, as you correctly point out most people travelling on coaches are scarfers and families, kids on board etc, so in my book that's a no no, and to be fair about 99% of people there didn't throw anything.

But I don't see anything wrong with a few South London style waves saying hello and a bit of "oi northern monkey" abuse, they've got thick skins up there, I'm sure they'll survive.
  • Why do Millwall think Leeds give a s*** about them? Leeds are a massive club with real history ON the pitch and have much bigger rivals than them. Man Utd for instance...

Plus the kind of fan those lot are after in the video certainly won't be on the coaches. Idiots.
  • [cite]Posted By: Sparrows Lane Lion[/cite]VG - your missus says the same

    ;-)

    ahhh genius ;-)

seriously tho, i cant believe your trying to justify them. Im all for a few w*nker signs etc but usually accompanied with a laugh. These helmets are really getting wound up and thinking they are top banana. Must be great to take your kids down the new den though, show them how real football supporters behave.

choice, you'd be hard stretched on any of those. I think the Millwall fans in the video should grow up, but they're hardly inciting a riot now, are they? Throwing stuff is the height of it. Two or three things total. Nothing to be proud of, but it's not the end of the world.

    thanks
  • VG - think that's just where us & you lot differ.

I remember a few comments on here from Charlton who were in the Millwall end when we beat you the other week. They described our celebrations when we scored as being totally mental, everyone jumping up & down & getting involved. They then said that shows how much this games means to us.

To be honest, a lot of people down there celebrate each goal like that! I've been dragged down and fallen over seats as everyone around me has gone mad whether it's been against Stockport or West Ham.

Whilst Charlton fans are just as passionate as any other, they do express it in a different way, some would argue a more sensible and grown up way.... :-)

We on the other hand, along with teams like Leeds, Stoke, west ham, Cardiff, Pompey, Spurs etc seem to be more outwardly passionate and emotional, some may say bordering on the slightly aggressive and scary.....but those chaps who are getting all "wound up" when giving a few wanker signs will just stop, laugh, then walk on to the turnstiles as calm as anything.

It's just different, it won't change, some clubs have a culture like that, some don't. I don't think either is wrong or right, just different.
  • get some sleep mate your talking utter gibberish
  • We get a similar welcoming comittee everytime we go up there. Horses for courses. There are vids of that on youtube as well.

If there was a bottle thrown, then that's stoopid. But a few Nescafe signs and some bad language? Face, bothered.

Leeds are f**k-ups. They're worse than Millwall, and Cardiff. Remember the CCTV Cities thing on a while back? They asked that mum what she thought of all the Leeds chasing Old Bill and 'Wall coaches down the road after the game?..."If me boy weren't here i'd be in there with them!". AND THATS THE WOMEN?!

    I can't wait for Les_Says' stag do!
  • [cite]Posted By: Sparrows Lane Lion[/cite]Sorry, but what exactly are they doing wrong?

That's the main walkway (Zampa Road) down to the turnstiles and ticket office. Hundreds of Millwall are walking down that round and then get blocked off to allow the Leeds coaches to go through.

What do you expect? A round of applause and flowers thrown at the coaches? My god. I think I saw one glass & one can being thrown from a crowd of 150+.

BLOODY HELL. SHUT US DOWN NOW WHY DON'T YOU?

    Inciting a riot? Grow up.
Public disorder? God, a few wanker signs and shouting abuse? That happens in every ground up & down the country.
Drinking in the street? Crime of the century. Wasn't even aware that was outlawed!
Throwing beer bottles? (one glass & one can) Yea scum...... 2 objects thrown. The horror from people on here shocks me. When there are 13, 14 & 15 year olds wandering around stabbing & shooting eachother, how this illicits more horror & shock I don't know.

It's a shame there aren't no videos of the gauntlet Millwall fans had to face up at Elland Road a few years ago. 8 buses going down the ground with no police either side as bricks were lobbed from hundreds of massed Leeds. No video either showing the 15 youths with balaclavas on who jumped out and bricked the front bus window right where I was standing. Plenty of Millwall reacting to it granted, but that was a very dangerous few minutes from Leeds.

But no, it's only Millwall fans that do this.

Don't rise to it people - I've got his number> As I said before, he's either Old Bill or Old Bill pretending to be Millwall. No doubt. You watch him try and deny it.

Sparrow - Being passionate about your team is what makes football great, i wish our fans were more passionate sometimes. When we equalised in the last minute up at Swindon me and my mates went mental and was giving it to a few away supporters (Banter)...inside the ground. But these normans on the video arent really interested in the football.....they are outside the ground causing grief, do you think many actually go in the ground??

its called having a bit of class
  • Nick nick
  • And not making women and children scared
  • Scooby, i'm sure the last time i saw him he was being dragged by his feet across the road outside Trax's
  • Red Robin - Leeds give a sh*t about us. Believe me, they give a sh*t about us. After the last couple of seasons, it's the first fixture they look for. Got a couple of Leeds mates who will happily admit that. To be honest, it's the first game I look for too.

Off_it - SLL isn't OB. He's far too intelligent to be affiliated with that firm.

    Late night mass debate. Nice.
  • OB defending OB - it figures.

    Don't say a word chaps.
  • Scooby is a mug.

He has followed the following clubs and getting involved with their mobs

    Chelsea (80's and 90's)
    Spurs (90;s)
    Charlton (00;s)
    Millwall last two years

    A marriage made in heaven,
  • Out of interest, do any Charlton fans frequent the Millwall message boards?
I can understand the interest just before/after our teams meet on the pitch but it seems a bit odd to be monitoring another teams fans so regularly.

Unless you're with the boys in blue of course
    ;-)
  • Who cares?

    Don't give a SCOOBY. Mug.

    .

PC Groucho, first point pretty much spot on, but don't say it too loud, it will burst the Charlton bubble of thinking how much more important than us they apparently are.

My notebooks full with all the nuggets of violent disorder that gets planned by the hooligans on this forum, can I borrow yours when we get to Lewisham nick in the morning?
  • Another "Millwall are scum" thread ? What's the point. It would be like claiming that:

    "Prince Charles has big ears"

    "The Fonz is cool"

    "Selhurst Park is a pit"

"OB use this board pretending to be Millwall"

Everyone knows the truth so argument against is pointless and not worth getting into. It is however more entertaining than threads about what music you plan listening to today.
  • Remember when you were a kid and you used to flick the Vs and do wanker signs on the bus during school trips?

That's basically what they're like, pathetic.
  • Blimey, on one of my few trips to the Valley as a neutral, (I witnessed El Kakouri's thunderbolt against Arsenal), there were plenty of Charlton giving Arsenal fans in the Jimmy Seed wanker signs after the goal. Very pathetic.

But then again, this was when Charlton were in the premiership and half the fan base were actually United, Tottenham, Liverpool & Chelsea fans who lived locally, so I suppose they have all stopped going now and that no longer happens.....
  • SLL loves it on here.

Must be a welcome break from filling in all those Stop and Search forms.

Spot on but you've either got it or you haven't and Millwall haven't.
  • "He's a Peeler 716, come to arrest the Zulus"
  • I reckon the Leeds supporters loved it.

They got the full “Wall” experience, it’s what they paid their money for. Something to talk about down t’pub.
  • Any one fancy going down Oxford Street this lunchtime.

Drink a few cans and then hurl abuse at the Tourist buses full of yanks. Nothing too serious just some Nescafe signs, screamed insults and swearing plus chuck a few bottles and cans at them.

I know they are just tourists but it was their country that invaded Iraq so I think they've got it coming. What do they expect if they come to our main shopping area?

Choice, can you video it and stick it up on Youtube as I'm sure people will be impressed.

And as it's half term bring the kids. Show them how it's done and make them proud of you.
  • Dickheads! I dont hate millwall as club/team but hate their fans! What a bunch of morons! They need a life!
