I bet they ran on time.
  • yeah it must have been a figment of my imagination that i saw a 100+ strong group of ticketless millwall fans being shepherded by old bill towards the woolwich road thru ransom walk,
i mean were they there for a nice walk on the saturday b4 christmas in the freezing temperatures looking at the beautiful sights of industrial se7 ... very weird , they need to get a life
  • [cite]Posted By: Groucho78MFC[/cite]being shepherded by old bill towards the woolwich road thru ransom walk,

Wow. They must have been the big boys. Pwopa naughty geeza's.
  • I saw them.
  • Personally, anyone over 16 years of age who still wears a replica shirt to football should get some abuse!

Oohahhmortimer - you've never gone to a ground without a ticket hoping to get in then? So the 100 tried their luck, didn't get in, and were escorted away back to the boozer. What's so scary about that?
  • Why can't you compare? I know a few of them. They are regulars. The ob round them up as they don't want 100 lads wandering about trying to get into other home sections.
  • Oh the irony of asking Ooh Ahh if he has ever turned up to an away game that we have sold out...

Errrm, i do believe i've been misquoted. Misquoted as in 'when the f**k did I say that?'....

So what. They turned up on the off-chance, and got moved along. Wasn't exactly Sparta, was it? I'll have money on there being ticketless Charlton there on saturday. And exactly the same will happen to them. Face, bothered.

Relax big man. I was quoting Oohahh from post 66, not sure why it came up with your name.

  • me and groucho are the same person
  • If i'd quoted a randomly pointless pub-stat, then shoved "FACT" on the end of it, i could understand the confuzzlement. Flawed technological b*ll*cks. Grumble!

    FACT.
  • [cite]Posted By: Curb_It[/cite]Cos i personally wouldnt want to draw any unwanted attention to myself

Thats right no attracting attention hey, Unlike saturdays burst in the west lower lol "Thats why your going down"!!!
  • true bourne... i might have to avoid pub on saturday!
  • Gawd help us if we ever had a war in this country again.

People afraid to go to a football match...unbelievable.
  • I'm getting down the juicer early doors, meeting a few mates, sinking a few light ales, chuff to the ground, banter at market, three points, back to the juicer, next stop Battersville. Nothing to see here.
  • Millwall v Charlton are always bittersweet for me. I used to meet round my Millwall mate's house in Sidcup and we both plus his brother and AN Other or two would set off in his latest pride and joy of a car (1st, when 18, was a Scirrocco) and head off to The Den. We'd pop into a pub down the Old Kent Road, think it was the Horse and Groom but can't remember, now a Chinese or something, have a couple of drinks and then off to the match. I'd stand with them on the halfway line, plenty of Charlton around, plenty of banter, the Charlton there would cheer if we scored, by the nature of things we'd normally lose, but never any trouble. Back to the pub for a couple afterwards and then home. I've never had any problems at a Millwall v Charlton game and don't expect to encounter any this week either.

Why bittersweet ? My mate passed away aged just 32 from leukemia, nearly 15 years ago now, but a lot of Saturday will be spent thinking about him. RIP Mark. Hope to God we take three points off you though !!!
