I finally saw the Old Bat Iron lady on Saturday. I thought it was dire. Actually so did my wife. A cv put to film, as she said. No insights at all into the effects of her policies
Just watched Kill List. Not your typical sunday night film, very dark and atmospheric. Quite bloodthirsty if a little predictable but worth a viewing if you like Dead Mans Shoes. Watched The Guard last night which I also recommend. Brendan Gleeson is quality.
Just back from 21 Jump Street, very funny stuff. Bit long and plot is beyond is as obvious as could be, but there is never more than a minute without some sort of joke. Best comedy I've seen in the cinema in years.
Kill List made me very uncomfortable! Iron Sky was a fun romp (Nazis hiding on the moon awaiting revenge) until it began to take itself too seriously.
Got Wrath Of The Titans on Thursday. Looks pretty stupid but should be fun! Also keen to see The Island President (apparently this year's Inconvenient Truth as the Maldives are sinking), particularly since the eponymous president was ousted.

Watched TT3D: Closer to the Edge. Guy Martin is an absolute fruit cake as are probably all the other people that enter the Isle of Man races. Some of the crashes are pretty spectacular on Blu Ray too.
im goin to see 'cabin in the woods' this weekend... supposedly it changes the whole genre of horror movies to come... its gotten amazingly good reviews
Watched We Need To Talk About Kevin the other night. A bit different to the book and quite a claustrophobic feel to it. I think I prefered the book over the film though.
I watched Moneyball and The Change Up on the flight over to NYC. Thought both were excellent. Was going to watch Horrible Bosses but will give it a miss - thanks!
Saw Avengers Assemble last night. First time I have seen a film in 3D and don't think it added anything to the enjoyment of it ( apart from the shots of Scarlett Johannson from behind! ). Loved the film though and had everything you would want in a blockbuster. Relentless action, superb special effects and laughs. Joss Whedon should be directing more of these Comic action flicks as he seems to have a better idea than most ( the exception being Christopher Nolan who doesn't treat an audience like dummys ). Well recommended and would like to see again only in 2D next time.
Quite fancy seeing Dark Shadows. Might even break my cinema is an utter rip off rule and head to Greenwich. Had some decent reviews and am a big Tim Burton fan.
Watched avengers yesterday. The 3D was terrible as was the first hour of the film but the second half was spectacular .
Agree with that, had no choice but to see it in 3D, was very blurry at times and was more of a distraction that anything else. The film didn't really start to get interesting till all the avengers came together, prior to that I found it very average. Thought The Hulk was awesome in it, my biggest problem with marvel films is that they tend to be very cliched/cheesy at times but the last half an hour or so was pretty spectacular.
