Cant actually rember what it was AFKA, because I was about 7 at the time but my dad reckons 2 drunk blokes just kept singing it, and nobody wanted to join in. There have been rumors it was started at Brighton too when poilceman fell off an horse, but dad insists this was infact the first time.

And Jeffers got the winner in the 93rd minute.

  • Booed Moriss, as should everyone.

  • Quoting Algarve addick "192. had the afternoon off work to watch Charlton reserves play the last "home" game at Selhurst. "

So the last person to score a 'home' goal at Selhurst was.........

    and

"200. Driven to Hereford on your own to watch a second leg cup tie that was all over bar the shouting following an easy home win. "

wonderful match, parading the bull around the pitch before kick off and Chelsea being humiliated by Scarboro(?)
  • Rosario Franco - didn't look it up either... how sad.

Seem to remember getting to Hereford just in time for KO, after negotiating my way through the cattle market to get to the ground. Poor game with Paul Williams(?) scoring the only goal. Don't remember the Chelsea bit though.
  • [cite]Posted By: Algarveaddick[/cite]Rosario Franco - didn't look it up either... how sad.

Correct. It'll come up in the brain of Charlton quiz sometime :)

  • Must have missed this at the time...incredibly this wasnt on here (mind you I could have missed it)...claimed to be one of the 20,000 who was there on clean up day at the Valley :-)

Got to a preseason game at Dover Athletic 10 mins into the second half.....

Remember the game at Selhurst against Leicester when you couldnt see the goal at the opposite end for fog and eventually it got so bad that you couldnt see past the halfway line....a young Kevin Campbell played on loan for Leicester...really poor crowd too 1100 springs to mind, but I could be wrong.

Remember Forest fans overturning cars in Floyd Rd....
