Scunthorpe 0 - Charlton 2 on the day I was born 10/02/73 - luckily it was an away game or my Dad would probably have been at the match and not the hospital. Apparently when my elder brother was born he delayed going to the hospital so he could watch the end of King Kong on TV!

Sorry Nolly, you haven't made your case as I don't think it is germane. I thought the point of this thread was to see if your mother's happy event was followed by your father's. Wanting to know when this happened is in my view pointless, unless of course you want to back track 9 months or so to see when the father scored and how many Charlton scored. I think this is for another thread; would you like to start it?

Nolly, you have not given a cogent reason for putting the date of the match. I have suggested possible reasons for your assertion. Perhaps you would like to enlighten us as to why you think there is a point in giving the date. A large percentage of contributors have given the date but a large number haven’t bothered. I don’t question people’s right to choose to do one or the other. Why are you questioning my right not to give it?

My son was born in Feb 87, we drew o-o with Man U at Selhurst and Bob Bolder saved a pen I recall.
He was born at 12-30 PM, leaving me time to get over to Selhurst, season Ticket in my pocket, what a dilemma I faced !!
I chose to stay with wifey and my first child.
