    15h of January 1972. We drew 0-0 in the FA cup against Tranmere Rovers. Shame really as we beat Watford 0-3 away the week before.

    We lost 4-2 in the replay.

    Sorry Nolly, you haven't made your case as I don't think it is germane. I thought the point of this thread was to see if your mother's happy event was followed by your father's. Wanting to know when this happened is in my view pointless, unless of course you want to back track 9 months or so to see when the father scored and how many Charlton scored. I think this is for another thread; would you like to start it?

    Lock scored an own goal.
    Mind you, we were the currrent FA Cup holders having won it the previous year at Wembley which takes the edge off things a bit.

  • Well I was born on a saturday, 2-1 at home to Oldham, 7th May 1977 not sure if i was born before or after the game!
    if not before, we won 1-0 away to Notts County the following saturday!
