Ann and Nancy Wilson, from Heart - Stairway To Heaven, Kennedy Centre Awards 2012. There's several special guests. And watching the Led Zep members' reactions is lovely.
That is fantastic, I’m strugglng to work out how to send that to my son without him accessin the message board. Anyone know how to access the link?
press play on the youtube video then press pause and at the top it gives you the name of the artist. click on that and the youtube video will appear in a new screen. then send the link or url to your son.
not sure if anyone caught BBC4 on Friday but they had 3 really good documentary's on. a modern one on Kate Bush career. then one from 1969 on Johnny Cash and finally a film of Bob Dylan - trouble no more which I haven't seen yet but I believe its about his period of life when he became a born again Christian.
well worth having a look on catch up if you didn't get to see them.
anyway thought this Johnny Cash song would be rather apt for the Easter weekend...Were You There When They Crucified My Lord?

For about the first time in twenty years I listened to Marillion’s Misplaced Childhood in its entirety today. It was like meeting up with an old friend to reminisce. Music can touch you like no other art form without question.
It is the late, great Scotty LaFaro's birthday today. He passed away ten days after recording this in a car crash, aged just 25. Yet he was still a revolutionary figure in jazz bass.
Thanks for the links. Talking of Bill Evans, I just finished rehearsing 'The Two Lonely People' accompanying a female singer. Had a look for versions on YouTube and found this very inventive comping for it. He looks scarry but i love his ideas... https://youtu.be/B8BiCja3hng

Completely not my style but I definitely dig it. Really cool ideas; well worth a breakdown just to see the thought processes

If you can't have Mehldau's left hand, just cross them... She sings like a singing teacher, and does her best to fuck up a very effective melody line. Yvonne (my singer) keeps it straight and ponderous.. So its like what Mr. Davis said: (more or less) " no bad musicians, only bad choices"
@PaddyP17 cheers for the Vulfpeck track. Not sure the whistling bit adds to it, but the rest is perfect for a lazy Sunday. Will check out the Mr Finish Line album.

It's already had an airing in the workshop this morning @TelMc32 and some of the songs will be going on our diner party playlist later
