Not exactly my usual cup of tea but enjoying the earthy and complex rhythms of Camille's album 'Oui' especially the extra tracks with just voice and drums. Should make for a decent WOMAD.
Here is some transcendent Scandinavian jazz from e.s.t to get you grooving. Esbjorn Svensson is one of my idols - I try to emulate his playing in many respects - and he created some awesome music.
Like a lot of jazz musicians, though, he was taken too early from us (died in a scuba diving accident at the age of 44). This year marks 10 years since his passing.

Horace Silver classic: 'Sister Sadie' My daughter's school band is almost as good as this one, (minus the suspiciously over excited teacher on the bass...)

Here in Perth we are not exactly spoiled when it comes to visiting musicians. Still, I was devastated to learn that a few years ago Ivan Linz spent 2 weeks in our town visiting his student daughter, and was able to return to Brazil without giving any performances.
To me this man is a master composer. Here, with the great Chico Buarque and Leila Pinheiro, singing 'Renata Maria'. https://youtu.be/OAoKekwpPmg
I hear this criticism of him a lot but I’m not sure a 40 something making the MMLP would work either. The subject matter’s changed but the rhyming and word play has arguably got even better. It’s an ok album. I’m not usually a fan of politics in music either but I can make an exception for Trump. And his points against him are spot on. I feel that more artists should be using their platforms to attack Trump.
I don't mind them using their fame and celebrity status to do so, but dragging it into their music is a bit of a shame.
Shuffle just hit the Eminem/Sheeran River track, I quite liked that one. It felt a bit more classic Eminem.
i actually quite like that. the video is a bit nuts though. be interesting to know what the lyrics are for them to come up with that. I guess the song title kind of explains the giant crazed buttocks..

This video is from when she was like 17/18 I think - really mature playing and very easy to listen to:

Finally got round to listening to this album and I have to say Eminem sober isn't really Eminem at all.
He has this week collected his 10 years sober chip and it's over 10 years since Eminem's last solid album.
He was once so creative and entertaining, now he is instead becoming political and it just doesn't work for musical entertainment.
Really not sure this album has any chance in growing on me.
Sad, really sad, but i'll listen through to the end.
so many great tracks on this album. for example 'Nobody Girl' is on as I type this.
