Bromley Resident and published author Lennie Lawrence will be the guest of Bromley Addicks tonight.
Lennie will be bringing copies of his new autobiography for sale as well as answering questions about his 9 incident packed years at Charlton and the other 1000+ games he has overseen.
He will be joined by Scott Minto who played over 200 times for the Club and who is now a presenter on Sky Sports (and a very good one too)
Meeting starts at 8.00pm
It's also the Bromley AGM so if any of you want to join the committee we would love to have you.

dont think i can do this tho.
Shame.
It's an open meeting BTW. No membership or entry fee required.
Also got a signed Charlton shirt as a raffle prize.
If we can report back what Lennie says will be down to Lennie. I think at City Addicks he wanted it off the record but don't know this time.
When is the AGM bit, after he speaks?
Before but it lasts about 5 mins (less if Syd Cheesewright doesn't ask any questions about interest on the accounts).
Copies of the accounts will be available.
Please do but wait until after he's signed my copy ; - )
Better make sure you are all there to hear it.
He still has a folder of letters Lennie sent him in the 1980s. Adam - aged ten/eleven - used to write to Lennie about once a month for a couple of seasons, saying why don't you buy this player, please don't let Melrose leave etc etc . And Lennie - bless him - replied to every single letter. He's as much a hero for that in my eyes as for all his escapology in keeping us from relegation in those heady days in the late 80s!
There's an Indian restaurant in the same road that Mick McCarthy and Richard Collins both eat in.
Must be good if McCarthy comes down from Wolves for a curry.
He still has or at least had a house in Bickley.

In fact we announced all our provisional meeting dates at the same time for the whole season.
We even let the people at Club Development have the dates so they had plenty of time to arrange the guests for those meetings when we weren't doing it ourselves.
Would have had an even better guest than Lennie (or maybe both of them) but he's flying back to the States this week.
Roman Polanski ??
That would have been some coup for Bromley :-)
We had him booked but then his agent called and said there was a problem. That's the way it goes. : - )
No good advertising a meeting without naming a guest, mate . . .
Are you just upset because I said on the Lennie Lawrence book review thread that I couldn't remember the name of Keith Peacock's ghost writer? : - )
Err . . . haven't read that post.
Doesn't your argument about publicising the date apply equally to all meetings with players, etc?
The difference is that for years the Club (or at least the playing side) has consistently not given names and often cancelled or changed players at the last moment.
OK, sometimes these things are unavoidable but their track record isn't good. I'll stand Bromley Addicks record up against their any time.
great.
now the wives will won't to come..... :-(
Does voluntary driving for local hospitals.
Glad you said that. We would have announced it earlier but he wasn't sure if he was taking Mrs Donald from Bromley Common home after her hip operation that night so couldn't say.
Seems she's gone private so no need now and he can come to us.
