  • I was there.

Elliot - 7.5, I'd say, had nothing to do really, then produced a top save from nowhere.
Richardson - 7, He's very very very steady. Had a few moments you'd see and go "Oh yeah, he did that" about.
Dailly - 7, Did his job with the tackles and the aerial stuff, generally.
Llera - 7, See what I said about Dailly. There's no difference between the two.
Youga - 7, Didn't look like a weak link this time! Played sensibly and knew when people would cover him. Is Parky reading the forum and responding to what we're saying?
Sam - 8.5, He destroyed their left back Sam Wood. Different class. Well done with the assist and his finish.
Semedo - 8, It was the first half that impressed me, but I can't really say much of note about the second for him.
Racon - 7.5, Him (and Shelvey) were what I thought were the "weakest" links in a ridiculously awesome midfield. But, I have to say, "The whole is greater than the sum of the parts" - The midfield was awesome as a unit, with some lovely interplay and movement. As for Racon personally, he made the odd wayward pass but otherwise looked calm and refined on the ball.
Shelvey - 7.5, Basically see Racon. Jonjo is playing at such a faster tempo than everyone else 'cause he's so good, and he must learn to work his style into the team's. But his skill is still awesome and evident.
Bailey - 7.5, He led the team, and while not fantastic on the ball his mentality and temperament makes up for that. Still just couldn't find his usually excellent long ball skills, but defensively he was good. And does he need to lose weight?
Burton - 8, He again played unselfishly and took his goal. Good performance; he's a total footballer.

Can't really mark the subs to be honest. Parkinson gets, what, a 9 for that from the looks of things. And we the crowd weren't too bad; a bit too rude at times though with the "[Insert team here] family" chant which (in my opinion) only works with the stereotyped incestual clubs - you know who I mean.

    Yeah.

    At the game

    Elliot -7
    Richardson -7.5
    Dailly -7.5
    Llera -8

Thought we actually made it look easier than it was and was a very impressive display.
Semedo should definately be playing at a higher level than this, great game again.
    Well done lads!

  • at game

Elliot - 7 (did'nt deal with crosses/corners too well but excellent save from the header in the 2nd half)
Richardson - 7.5 (one of his best performances, got forward really well)
Dailly - 7.5 (wins everything in the air)
Llera - 6.5(big presence and excellent left foot, but still unconvinced about his positioning, especially under pressure)
Youga - 7 (like richardson one of his better games, thought he did really well on the ball)
Sam - 8.5 (seems to be excelling at league one level, run their makeshift left back ragged)
Semedo - 8.5 (MOM 4 me)( put in countless tackles/interceptions and barely put a foot wrong all game)
Racon - 7.5 ( was his usual enegetic self, some great combative midfield work with a few decent touches going forward)
Shelvey - 6 ( never really got in the game although his class shone through with some excellent one-touch work)
Bailey - 7 (thought he struggled a little first half but looked really eager to take on their right back 2nd half, did well)
Burton - 7 (whats come to be a typical performance from deon, committed, unselfish and bagged himself another goal.

    Racon -8
    Shelvey -8
    Bailey -8
    Burton 8

Played as a team won as a team, defence wouldn't be so great without the hard working midfield and the midfield wouldn't be able to control games so much without the knowledge of such a sound defence behind them and so on and so on. This is my reason for not having a mom we had a team of the match just like we have had all season
  • Elliot - 7 (great save but came and missed a couple of crosses)
Richardson - 6 (looked a yard of the pace and got beat by their left winger too often and too easily, maybe not 100% fit)
Dailly - 8 (did his job well and never stopped talking to others around him)
Llera - 7 (good long passes out of defence but still a little mistake prone at times)
Youga - 8 (looking like the player that came back from Scunny)
Sam - 8 (playing with confidence)
Semedo - 9 (growing in the holding midfield role - bailed a few of the defenders out throughout game)
Racon - 7 (good first half - not so involved second)
Shelvey - 7 (steady game, unlucky not to score)
Bailey - 8 (beat their right back a few times to get into good positions)
Burton - 8 (hard working as always)

Elliot - 7.5 Needs to work on his coming out and collecting crosses, superb reflex save though
Richardson - 8 Unsung hero today i feel, played really well
Dailly - 7.5 Did his job very well
Llera - 7.5 Same as daily, good headers, decent long balls
Youga - 7 Again played well
Sam - 8 excellent assist and goal, constant threat, confident at last, look tired after 60 mins
Semedo - 8.5 wonderful lil mcelele (scant spell) good closing down
Racon - 7 dissapointed with him today, although parky said played with tight hamstring, still did job well, nothing flash
Shelvey - 7.5 nothing special, feel should have done better with shot.
Bailey - 7.5 little lucky not to give away penalty
Burton - 8 works hard for team

Waggy - 6.5 really didnt do much, but good experience
Mcleod - 7.5 Looked relly lively, unlucky with goal... finally showed us what he did at MK dons

Elliot - 7 (staggering save, but missed a couple of crosses. Otherwise sound judgement and rarely looked troubled)
Richardson - 6.5 (solid, few errors, but got turned a few times)
Dailly - 7 (commanding at the back, brought it out well)
Llera - 6.5 (solid, some good long balls, but turned a couple of times)
Youga - 7 (one lapse of concentration, but otherwise pacey, commanding in the air and on the ground, and constantly gave them problems down the flanks pinning their wingers back).
Sam - 8 (fantastic skill, fantastic goal, tenacious in winning the ball for the first goal, but faded a bit in the second)
Semedo - 8.5 (THOU SHALT NOT PASS)
Racon - 7 (quiet by his own standards, but still a class apart in this league)
Shelvey - 7 (other than missing a half decent chance the constant progress is frightening. Some of his touches terrify the opposition)
Bailey - 6.5 (covered the marauding Youga well, but was drifting inside constantly, and some of his crossing was erratic. Clearly a right footed central midfielder doing a damn good job out on the left wing).
Burton 6.5 (real mixed bag. Worked fantastically hard, set up the second and got the flick for Shizzle's disallowed effort, but made a good fist of missing the first goal and posted an early contender for goal of the season).

Parky 7.5 (controlled the game from start to finish. Successfully switched the shape of the team near the end to fend off any ideas of a Bees rally. Oddly kept an injured player on with an experienced central midfielder on the bench despite the game being largely in the bag and finishing the match with an unused sub. Odd.

Quite ....... It's not only what Dailly does on the ball and the calm composed way he passes out of defence - but his reading of the game, positioning, timing, covering and talking to team mates, binding the whole defence together. It's no coincidence that Semedo and Youga are in the form of their lives.

To give Dailly the lowest mark in the team is staggering.
