  • never heard of the holden fella but the other 2 are good solid signings. well done parky
  • As someone posted earlier, Holden has evidently shown good potential - and the loan allows the management to see if the player can cut it at this level.

So the lad is effectively on 3 months trial.
  • Despite arriving from the humble surroundings of the 3,000-capacity Belle Vue stadium, Holden boasts Champions League experience this season, having played for the Welsh champions in their qualifying matches against Partizan Belgrade.

The Serbians won 4-0 in Wales before adding eight more without reply in the return leg, but Holden was prominent in both games.

love this quote form the OS his team lost 12-0 on aggregate but he was prominent LOL
  • It's like Welling United playing in Europe.
  • However, under the terms of the deal, the forward cannot play in Exeter's two meetings with the Addicks this season.

"We've been talking to Exeter for a few weeks," said Parkinson. "We felt Stuart needed to play regularly at this level, and I couldn't guarantee him the opportunities to do that here. We've also got young Tamer Tuna coming through the ranks, and he's pushing hard for a place based on his recent performances, particularly in the reserves.

"We felt it was a good opportunity for Stuart to progress as a player, but we are able to recall him in January, should we need to, so we are still protecting our own interests to some degree. Who knows, he could come back in January and help us until the end of the season."

Fleetwood can be recalled in January, so I guess we'll keep an eye on how he's doing and of course see if we need a striker at the time.
