it aint really summer till this thread is back at the top of the board
now get gossiping,
i have heard that a texan billionare is going to buy us out and build casino hotels on each corner of the ground and that we will have a rollercoaster running around the top of the stands.
before every game Tom Jones and bryan admams will be dueting on the centre circle
With just over a month to go before the transfer window shuts surely outside investment needs to come in before then to make us competitive going into the season and to keep hot on the tails of Pardews lot
It would be great to wipe that smug grin off Pardews face!
A message to anyone, I had to edit my post here as it replicated my last post, why when I post a message via a blackberry does it post it twice every time?
Zeebel may very well take a look at us again. the stumbling block last time was having to settling all the debts to the directors, which would have meant an awful lot of negotiations as they all wanted different returns on their loans. this also made putting a valuation on the club very difficult. Now this has been sorted out they might be interested again.

I thought the stumbling block was that Dubai is essentially broke.
Says in today's programme a consortium made an indicative offer for us 12 months ago, but during due diligence it became clear they had insufficient funds.

I have it from a reliable source (well OK a discarded copy of The Mirror) that two Indian bids are battling over Blackburn FC.
As only one can be successful, this means there is a billionnaire/MNC out there looking to invest in an English football team.
I still remeber where I was when I heard Zabeel was off.... it was like where were you when you heard JFK had been shot....
I thought we had fluked a way out of the inevitable...
but noooo... we didnt so we have to sit here and suck it up until some managerial geniusa comes along and gets the team playing properly, gets the team to be more than the some of its parts...
Am i right in thinking Leicester are about to be taken over? You would have thought we'd be at least as attractive as Leicester now that RM has restructured things wouldn't you? Seems there are buyers still out there but none of them ever seem interested in us. After the big 4 in London, i would put us as the next most attractive club - we've got a great stadium, have proven we can fill our ground in the prem - it's all in place, just need a manager and a team now.
The difference is BD, Leicester are in the waiting room for the promised land... we aren't even inside the building
They were 90 mins away from the PL last season, the thinking will be that with some investment, in a league where anyone can force their way into the play-off mix (look at Blackpool last season, Burnley the year before), you're never too far away from the big bucks.
Anyone in the Championship without crippling debts, with an OK stadium and in a sizeable city is miles ahead of us in terms of attracting investors.
Already done, I think Dan. Though they havent sent full financial details as required

Ah that is better, keep all the usual rubbish here folks, you know it makes sense and steer clear of the F5 button while you are on here, Qatari superstitionss about the bad fortune attached to the alpha numeric F5 may lead to them pulling the plug on the imminent deal.
