[cite]Posted By: Shrew[/cite]Has the Beatles splitting up been reported in the cornish times yet Oggy ...
Oh, yes, Shrew ........ plus man on the moon, farmer's subsidies, scarecrow competition and salmon poaching.
A few years ago, I even got a mention because I scored a ton at darts.
That was a sufficiently rare occurrence to warrant a write up, but unfortunately didn't make front page headlines for some reason.
The marriage and obituary pages are quite interesting.
It's then you realise everyone down here is related to each other - and worse.

I tried to get a place but you gotta be a ST holder
[cite]Posted By: kentred2[/cite]........... and some of them are bankers who put in their bonuses .... money they didnt deserve in the first place so no sympathy there.
[cite]Posted By: WSS[/cite]My sources tell me a verbal confirmation of takeover...
Verbal contracts not worth the paper they are written on.
When I see the new owner/s holding up a scarf with the East Stand in the background on a reputable website such as, Oh I don't know, maybe the OS then I'll believe it.
Or if PV or RM returned my calls which would be nice. Once. Ever.

Charlton are currently in their fourth ownership, or "marriage" between principals and the club itself. The forst ownership dynasty was that of the Gliksteins; then came the Hulyer/Collins/Fryer years; thirdly, Roger Alwen - who took us brilliantly forward, but was ultimately not able to deliver top flight football; then the Murray years.
Thursday - the day of the now-postponed Q&A session - is the date set aside of the new ownership of Charlton to be completed and revealed. Why that date? Because it is the anniversary of Henry VIII's annulment of his marriage to Anne of Cleves.

I'll have one from the top and two from the bottom please.
Don't think any of those things would stop you being an owner of a FL club.
Having been lucky enough to have filled in the forms myself as long as you're not a bankrupt, banned from being a company director or haven't taken a club into admin more than once you're in.
