I've come a bit late to this thread, but I can shed a bit of light on the pricing issue.
Gary came to the only Target 40,000 meeting at which the proposals were discussed and endorsed by the committee - indeed the only meeting since Christmas. The board then considered those proposals over an extended period. It eventually decided not to accept the proposals.
It was never realistic to think that the fans' forum would have any input to season tickets whatsoever at a meeting on April 2nd. The fans' forum would not necessarily understand that because it did not know what had gone on at board level in the meantime.
Presentationally it might have been better if the meeting had taken place before the announcement, but in terms of the offer it would have made no difference at all at that stage.
[cite]Posted By: Darren[/cite]Guys, ie. Henry, dave & Tel. You're all big fans? Why can't you work together for the common good?
Isn't at least one of those three a pompous egotist...I may have it wrong?!
Bit disencouraging the £100 credit note being thrown out of the equation - this does not give us much hope as it seem to indicate that the current board does not believe that we would get back up next season......

Not really, from what I understand, the board had issued the season ticket prices before the FF had collated various responses and ideas of offers from fans to present to the club, so they can't dismiss somthing they never discussed.
I think they would have been ridiculed (esp on here) for begging fans for more money ala southampton if they had released such an offer. And if they had released such an incentive especially after anouncing the season tickets prices would put further fear and uncertainty to the financial future of our club.

Fair enough - a positive spin could be issued backed with a statement of assertion such as saying we are holding on to the midfield and build a stronger spine through (new centre half and sweeper and also new striker) .... but there again need a real commitment from the Board which I cannot see happening:(
My main concern for next season is that like Leeds the teams there will be gunning for us throughout the season seeing that we were recently a Prima Donna Premiership team so a lot of tough matches ahead for us unlike Leicester who flew in there just under the radar.....
